Dr. Robert L Salant, MD

Dr. Salant left me brain damaged after a routine surgery in 1990. The surgery was a 90-minute procedure that ended up being an hour and a half because he was on the phone while I was already sedated. Unfortunately I woke up during surgery and he instructed the anesthesiologist to put me out again even though the anesthesiologist said it would hurt me.

While the practice in general appears to be very busy, interactions with Dr. Salant are very sincere. He has always reviewed my case and has succinct and personal feedback and advice. I recommend him.

Two previous urologists failed to solve my problem. Dr. Salant did an accurate diagnosis and prescribed very effective, non-invasive treatment. I have been fine for 3 years now and am extremely pleased with his efforts. Additionally he is pleasant, is a good listener and has fully answered all of my questions. The office staff, while not "warn and fuzzy", is efficient and business-like. I highly recommend Dr. Salant.

Dr. Salant is an excellent doctor. He's smart, kind, has an excellent bedside manner and took a lot of time explaining to me the pros and cons of varioius approaches to my situation. He is also not pushing anything - unlike other GU people I've seen in the past. I never feel that he's thinking about his bottom line, but is putting my health first. Highly recommended!

The overall strength here is with Dr. Salant. Smart, talented, and really motivated to work in GU. He has a warm and humanism that many people in the field don't. I felt very comfortable with him and he is genuinely kind. The downside is that the office staff seems chaotic, disorganized and lost. But the sad thing is that that this has been true of everyone I've seen in GU -- but at least here you get a great doctor who really cares.

Not a great office and I don't love the supporting technicians, but Dr Salant himself is excellent

Spoke with our insurance rep on the phone, verified that we were in network. Once we were at the office for the appointment we had scheduled, we were suddenly out of network. Thanks Robert L Salant!

this is an unethical practice. staff is horrible and so are the money hungry doctors. this is like a mill for patients. disgusting.
