Dr. Robert A Salazar, MD

Do not come here if you are looking for a practitioner that at least acts like he cares. I calmly asked him to please talk to me and interact with me because I didn’t feel like he was answering my questions about what had been going on with me for nearly 6 months. His response was that he’s a doctor and he can multi-task. If you don’t like it then you can get another doctor. I’ve worked as a medical coder for doctors for my entire adult life and have never had such a horrible experience. I said I knew he had to document, I was not trying to say he was wrong or not listening to me but that I wanted to be treated like a human being coming to him for help. His answer was a flat “do you want me to order a test or not? I walked out and he walked out behind me but I guess I wasn’t walking fast enough so he felt the need to brush past me to get to the next patient. I’m writing this sitting in my car crying in disbelief and frustration. Spare yourself this experience.

I love Dr. Salazar, however, I'm still wondering why he won't perform this one test I keep asking for. This is the test that would determine once and for all what the issue is and go from there. But no, won't order it. And then, I couldn't remember when my appointment was, so I called the office. I was brusquely told that it was a week later, and that they would call me beforehand. I never EVER got the call, however, I am getting collections calls, up to twice a day about the missed visit fee. I'm not paying it, and sadly, I will have to find another doctor. Oh well. Sorry Dr. Salazar. You're good, your staff sucks.

I just got home from this doctor and I would never recommend it to anyone. I waited for over an hour and a half to be called and when I was called to go into the room I asked how much longer it would be to see the doctor. They counted 4 rooms ahead of me and told me it would be another 30 min at a minimum. The front office keeps the glass door closed and is completely unfriendly or professional. They even have a sign stating that your wait time might be up to an hour which shows this is a consistent problem. In the 90 minutes I was waiting 2 patients were called into the rooms. Completely unacceptable!!!! I never saw the doctor I ended up leaving so I can't rate his skills.
