Dr. Robert Bernard Shulman, MD

Dr. Shulman is one of the brightest doctors I have ever had the pleasure of going to. He listens to what you say and doesn't try to push any unwanted treatment unless necessary. He is very easy to talk to and sets a very friendly environment in his appointments. Though his wait times have gotten a little longer recently, he is still very much worth the visit.

His philosophy skews towards adding more and more medicine to the mix. I was not apprised of likely side effects and not monitored appropriately. Most of his knowledge of the meds he prescribes comes from the pharmaceutical reps and their literature. I was left with long-term side effects from the drugs he gave me. When i addressed some of these issues with him, he became very defensive and cruelly sarcastic. This was the worst experience I've had with any physician ever.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shulmans for 8 years and every success I achieve I attribute to his unfaultering care, professionalism and attitude of never settling for feeling 'ok' . He has inspired me to not define myself by my mental illness but by my accomplishments, no matter how small. He has sheppard me through my physical health and followed through with each issue from beginning to end . When you have an apt. With him he makes you feel like you are the most important person in the world. His passion for the human spirit is unwavering.
