Dr. Robert Steven Singer

Dr. Singer and his staff helped me that says it all.

On my first visit to see Dr. Singer I knew he could help me. He was the first doctor to let me know that this could actually go away! Under his care my headaches have gone from 4-5 per week down to 1or 2 so far. As for pain intensity using a scale of one to ten my average headache has gone down from a five to a one. I still am expecting more improvement.Dr. Singer is very kind and helpful, quirky and brilliant. He answers all of my questions and never seems to be in a rush.

Dr. Singer is in a class all his own. The chart above really doesn't do justice to rating his abilities, knowledge, expertise, and professional approach. He really understands what is realistic for treating people who don't respond well to standard Migraine treatments or who can't use triptans because of a heart condition, and so forth. I have been to 5 other neurologists and to one of the most prestigious headache clinics in the country (for 2 weeks) but no one has done me as much good as Dr. Singer.

After suffering for years with mystery nighttime headaches and no diagnosis, Dr. Singer diagnosed mw with Hypnic Headache - never have been so happy to hear I had a "disorder", but knowing is everything.He is quirky in a nice way - If you put Mel Brooks and Einstein in a jar and shook it well that's Dr. Singer!

Dr. Singer has been my neurologist for 10 years. He is the best Dr. I have ever had. He is caring, considerate extremely knowledgeable and spends a lot of time with you. For years I had horrific migraine headaches. With his help and expertise, I was able to get them under control without narcotics. The wait time can be long but that is because he spends so much time with his patients. He wants to make sure he takes care of all their needs. I go in knowing this so I am never upset when I wait. I just plan on an extra 15-20 minutes. It's worth it when you get a fantastic Doctor! As long as you plan ahead, you have no problem getting an appointment. I never have had a problem. I just don't know what I will do when he retires!

Dr. Singer has helped try to cure me of migraines for about 18 years. He has tried many medicines, but I became allergic to them, so he tried something else. He doesn't give up and really cares that one is out of pain. He will schedule long appointments to be able to get at any clue as to why the migraine. He goes to meetings to learn more. Other doctors have told me he is among the best at what he does.

He's great if you are having headaches or suffering from pain. He's also really funny!

Dr. Singer seemed OK at first, but his staff is horrible, he never returned phone calls, even when I was having a terrible reaction to some medication he put me on, and he spent most of my appointment times complaining about how most neurologists wouldn't prescribe pain medication. I wound up having to do research on the Internet and bring him ideas for things to try, because he seemed frankly uninterested in coming up with new treatments. When I ventured a polite (honestly!) complaint, he lectured me for fifteen minutes about how hard he and his staff worked and that every one of his patients was in pain, so I should shut up and suffer in silence. At which point I found a new doctor. Do not go see this man unless you're a glutton for punishment.

He is the only doctor whose had any luck in helping me with my Migraines.

Dr. Singer is an outstanding physician, especially if you have severe chronic pain. I had seen many other doctors prior to seeing him with no luck. Now I can honestly say that I am managing my pain and living a normal life.
