Dr. Robert R Sundell, MD

Dr. Sundell has been my neurologist for 16 years. He communicates extremely well and is very knowledgeable regarding complicated Neurological disorders. I consider him not only my neurologist but also a friend. I have great respect for Dr. Sundell.

Outstanding physician

I went to him twice seeking answers. He looked at a couple of things did one test and a blood test that were normal and didn't offer any other direction to go. A total waste of time and money.

Not sure if I was a waste of his time in the hospital or if he had more important things to do. No answers to issue. Didn't have a definitive diagnosis or direction to treat the problem. Just increased my medication and said to call him if things did not improve. Really. I don't know if anything is working the way it is supposed to and apparently he doesn't know either. No help.

At 17 yrs old, I had to be rushed to the hospital from school because the small town doctors thought that I was having an aneurysm. Dr. Sundell was very cool. I was in highschool, so dramatic was an understatement of how I felt about the situation. Dr. Sundell explained everything on an equal level to me, not directly to my parents. He treated me as the patient. Not as the adult's child who was the patient and had to go through whatever they decided.. After the tests and scans, they discovered I had a calcium deposit that was read as the aneurysm. He did not dismiss me as an over-reactive teen, but continued checking on why I was having these issues. He did not throw medication at me to "deal" with the pain, but he found something that would help until we figured out what was going on. I felt relief to find out from what the small town doctors told me, I could die or never be "right" again. To finding out other chemical issues with my body were the source of my reactions. It turned out… to not be neurological but Dr. Sundell followed up with me to make sure I was receiving all the help I needed to fix my problems. It was a breath of fresh air to not be tossed a bottle of pills and told "Take these when you feel the pain. Call in to work or school and have a day in bed... for the rest of your life." He helped me get fixed.

Dr.Sundell scheduled me a MRI and a appt. with him in a couple of days after my test came back. I waited in the waiting room, just about 25mins. before I was called back to meet with the DR. to get my test results (of my brain)"Everything is normal" he said. "But for your dizzyness, I'm going to refer you to a ENT specialist". I never seen my $40 co-pay go so fast. I think his "findings" could have been handled with a 2 minute phone call. He could have even left that on my voice mail. So now,out of work for 7 weeks and counting, which mean no paycheck and minus 40 dollars cash. P.S. still dizzy
