Dr Robert C. Tang, MD

Terrible experience with Dr. Tang, very dismissive and extremely disconnected from patient needs. Unkind and belittling when providing an explanation. He actually specifically said (in reference to a patient that was experiencing an immense amount of pain), “he is going to have to suck it up”. Those were his direct words. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. No compassion whatsoever.

Dr. Tang is a consummate professional and is a no-nonsense practitioner. He's extremely knowledgeable and will tell you the truth regarding the direction you need to take with your health. And he'll do this with gentlemanly respect.

This so called doctor was very unhelpful. It takes alot and a good reason for me to go to the doctor so when i went in to see this guy, i wasnt offered a treatment plan, i wasnt given any advise or tips to expedite my healing. I didnt even know my visit was over because he just walked out the room. I didnt get a goodbye, feel better or anything. And xrays and bloodwork was ordered that i had already previously done. I had an appt time but several people checked in after me but was seen before me. Service is horrible and eveybody is just $$ to them.

Very thorough in his exams. Listens well and courteous.

he has been my doctor for many yrs ---- he has done a great job of keeping my life centered and able to live on my own. sutter is lucky to have Dr Tang on staff.

I moved to Sacramento in late 2009. I had just gotten over a case of pneumonia (and was about to get another one) when I set up my first appointment with him (healthnet is my provider). He is a low key kind of guy but there is no doubt about his medical acumen, his thoroughness or his caring. There was no question about referrals to other doctors or tests; he took what steps were necessary to get me straightened out and I'm in as good of health as I've ever been. I'm closer to 64 than to 63 and about to ride a century for national charity. Bless, Dr. Tang and his able staff.

Dr. Tang is amazing!! Best Internal Med MD my family has ever used. We love him!! Lucky to have him as far as we are concerned!!

We've seen Dr. Tang for several years now and he has always been excellent. He always takes his time with us and he listens. We've never had any problems with the office or his staff who are very nice.

I was positively surprised by the way Doctor Tang examined me...he is the only Doctor that took my bp in both arms..Took my shoes off my feet to examine them...he asked very good helpful questions ..the list goes on...he reminded me of many Doctor I worked with in North Africa...very attentive and confident..we need more Doctors like him...
