Dr. Robert Lee Thornberry, MD

Dr. Thornberry did my husband's last hip replacement, which turned out to be an extensive surgery. He did excellent work, explained everything very clearly, and exhibited compassion

Doctor Thornberry is a terrible surgeon and is very unethical. He blatantly lied to me about the chances of my injury recurring and pushed surgery. I went to 3 different surgeries after him and all 3 laughed at what Thornberry told me. They said he completely fabricated the percentage and that “90% is an aggressive over exaggeration.” The only thing Dr. Thornberry cares about is cutting you open to get his commission. He will tell you surgery is required even when it’s not.

I wish I would have pursued it. Here I am 5 years later suffering from a surgery that was done poorly. 8 hours of surgery and a bad knee, worst than before. Doctor Thornberry should not practice. If I only knew. Poor bad side manner also. I should’ve done my research. How can an actual doctor drill a knee too wide and in the wrong direction and still practice is what I am trying to understand.

Worst Dr I've seen wants to lay blame and every other thing out of his mouth is about work comp would not discuss my pains and ask me if I wanted heroin that El Chapo had heroin for me if I wanted heroin did not have all paperwork in hand and would not address me face to face only would speak to wife and miss gendered me several times what a POS has no interest in quality of patients only if work comp payment

I was seen by Dr. Thornberry yesterday to schedule a knee replacement. He was frank, informative, and sincere. I appreciate his manor, and will have him replace my knee next month.

I had previous shoulder surgery and now have hip and back issues. Doctors demeanor has changed over the years. He is rude and arrogant. He does not listen to the patient.

i had other orthopedic surgeons tell me previously to postpone my hip replacement surgery based on my age, despite the fact that my quality of life was significantly diminished. Dr Thornberry told me, as others had that it had to be done, and we could do it at any time. i cannot tell you how happy I am and how much better my life is since my surgery. I walked the first night, went home a little over 2 days after surgery and went back to work in a little over 2 weeks.

Robert Thornberry has given me a lifetime of pain to look forward to. It's been almost 5 years since he did a total knee replacement on me at which time he cut my popliteal artery, veins, nerves and tendons, requiring a vascular surgeon to repair his negligence before I bled out on the table. He never apologized for what he did nor for what he had to know I would experience for the rest of my life.That is almost constant pain. It is sore to the touch, aches constantly, and when I stand from sitting even for a brief period my knee is stiff and I feel a deep burning pain.EVERY TIME , with no hope for relief. I' m hearing more and more negative comments about this arrogant and incompetent surgeon!

I would never recommend him to anyone. He did a total knee replacement on me and I'm in more pain now than I've ever been. He says it may never get better. Just what I wanted to hear.

Good ortopedic surgeon....4 very sucessful ones on me.
