Dr. Robert Meng-Wu Tsou, MD

I been having chronic ear pain so my primary doctor referred me to Dr Tso. He diagnosed me with TMJ before even looking into my ears, I told him my mom had a history of Meniere's disease. He told me before even looking in my ears that it isn't Meniere's disease. On my in office paperwork I told him I had childhood ear infections and he said that I had no history of childhood ear infections so that tells me he doesn't read the paperwork that he has patients spend time filling out. After the exam he said again I have TMJ and need to see an Oral Surgeon (Even though I have no jaw or teeth pain) and that he is not going to refer me because no Oral Surgeon wants to care for TMJ patients because there is no money to be made in TMJ and that they would rather see teenagers to put braces on them and make millions. He also, called my primary doctor small-minded for sending me to see him. I found him to be very arrogant and not worth my co-pay. Now, I have to get re-directed to another ENT. I… hope this helps someone looking for an ENT.

It went in for chronic nosebleeds after 10 months of saline rinses, humidifier on oxygen concentrator, Ayr saline gel, antibiotic cream in nose (shouldn’t be used with oxygen cannula). Nosebleeds had gotten out of control, sometimes 3 major bleeds/day with major migraines. He took one look, said there’s nothing he could do, & told me to do everything I had been doing the previous 10 months. I was upset as my whole nose felt like it had been punched. I gave up and went to leave & he was MAD because I “blew off his opinion”. He made me sit in chair & shut door (he conducted exam with door open) while he said things like “I don’t know what MAGIC you expect to fix your nosebleeds!” “You’re like the 5th nosebleed patient today, it’s nothing special, you all want magic to fix things!” I asked for a possible sinus x-ray, he said no, it wouldn’t show anything (it would show a bad infection), & that he could shove a tube down my nose but it would me a waste of my money, insurance money, or… “someone else’s money” - I’m on disability. I’m crying at this point and ask him to stop yelling at me and he said I was yelling, and I had to tell him I wasn’t yelling I was CRYING. I finally said I was done & I ran out. Do NOT go to this horrible, unsympathetic, know-it-all, abusive “specialist”. I have zero respect for his “expertise” or professionalism. Here it is two years later and I have parathyroid cancer. The problem with my nose was one of many signs that something was wrong with my body. I had thyroid tumors at that time as well.

Over 2 hour wait for an appointment, no care or even a sorry for the delayed time, office thinks you just have to go with it and have all the free time to sit around and wait. What’s the point of a scheduled appointment if you can’t even get in on time or with a decent amount of time.

My mother recently had a laryngoscopy done at Dr. Tsou office. He saw an abnormality and referred her to have stat CT scans performed and return to the office with the disc. We dropped off the disc as soon as the CT scan was done and was told that they would have her setup with appointment the next day. The next morning we were rushed in office with 1 hour notice. When we got their we were in formed that Dr Tsou did not receive the report from the CT scan yet. When Dr Tsou came into the exam room, he called my mother by the wrong name. Then he stated that he looked at the disc, said he was not a radiologist but every looked remarkable. He did not see anything and to come back in a week or so for a follow up.Then, he hand us back the disc. Within hours of being rushed and pushed out of his office, I picked up the results from her CT scan to find out she has a massive tumor in her neck (skull/jugular area) which appears to be terminal. Today, two weeks later he calls and is concerned… that she needs to come in for the test results and follow up plan. At this point we have already received the results, met with her primary doctor and set up an appointment with oncology. To say the everything thing looked REMARKABLE is very scary. Any patient that is considering this doctor should really think again.
