Dr. Robert Wayne Vanboven

f i could give no stars, I would. Today was the second time I arrived for an appointment with Dr Van Boven and no one was there. The office was dark and locked. The first time he missed our appointment, it took them 3 days to call back, apologize and re-schedule. At the time, I was told Dr. Van Boven had an emergency. If I even get a call back this time, I assume there will have been another "emergency. I took time off from work and drove quite a distance for this appointment and am stunned this happened again.

The diagnosis by the admitting physician was all wrong, except she did call Dr. Van Boven who did an MRI to find a blood clot in my brain and didn't stop asking me questions, until he was able to pinpoint the cause, in office surgery on my leg that I didn't consider surgery, just a procedure and had forgotten about. He was furious with that physician and prescribed blood thinner and watched me like a hawk until the clot; he called in a fabulous heart specialist, now at Emory, to figure out how the clot was able to get from my let to my brain (a hold). He was so protective, and the hospital staff was fantastic. had dissolbed

Dr. Van Boven has been a lifesaver for my husband and me. His expertise is matched by his caring: his patients always come first with him. We feel so fortunate to have been referred to him.

Dr. Van Boven literally saved my life when I got GBS.

Brilliant neurologist, with new ideas, on target. No small talk or hand holding, but straight talk and superior skills. Harvard, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, NIH, LSU. Extensive training.

Dr. Vanboven was my neurologist here in Minnesota 6 years ago. This man saved my life and listened to me when no other Dr. would. He is amazing. Aggressive and doesnt stop testing and researching until he gets a diagnosis. He is extremely intelligent and has amazing integrity. We miss him in our community. I will and would whole heartedly recommend him to anyone needing neurological care. He is by far the best Dr. I have ever had.
