Dr. Robert Charles Waldrip, MD

I showed up for my appointment I had with an MRI in hand, but he wanted me to go and get an X-Ray that day since I did not have the results of my X-Ray with me. Nevertheless, I wasn't going to run another X-Ray especially since I had an MRI with me. That is when I decided I needed to make another appointment with another doctor. Interestingly that doctor doesn't need an X-Ray. Even if the doctor absolutely needed the X-Ray , at least see me to explain why. I wouldn't put my confidence in this guy, which is why I rescheduled with another physician. Unfortunately, it just meant I had to take another day off work and wait another 3 weeks in pain. In the long run it will be worth it.

For over 20 years I have had problems with my back, stenosis with other issues. I have been to several specialists and had my share of spinal injections. He has done more for me than any other orthopedic Dr or pain clinic has ever done. He doesn't beat around the bush and tells you straight, was thorough and discouraged surgery. Self-pity does not help you or your Dr, if you need someone to feel sorry for you, go see a therapist, he knows you are in pain or you wouldn't be there. Take time to think about your Dr's and how they might feel. I am sure they have their share of aches and pains. I appreciate Dr Waldrip thoroughness and honesty, he is the best by far.

Every thing was explained in a language you understand. He will answer all of your questions. You don't feel rushed and we were highly satisfied with this Orthopedic Doctor.

on the plus side, Jessica, his MA is very responsive as is Susan, his schedule. Also, he is competent on the other hand, his bedside manner is lacking as is his empathy. I was in serious pain which he could see and the cortisone injection didn't kick in. He helped me sir up and was preparing to leave when I asked him about medication. He said, oh, you want pain medicine? Just not a good fit for me, but is for some.

I have seen Dr. Waldrip twice now about 3 years apart and each time the doctor and the staff have treated me with great care and concern. Both times were successful in treating what seemed like endless pain and a hopeless situation. I highly recommend Dr. Waldrip and his team to anyone with pain associated with lower back issues. My life has changed for the absolute better and I am so grateful for being introduced and choosing an expert Orthopedic Surgeon.

Not generally warm and fuzzy but a very good doc and he tells you like it is ...which I like

Jessica is his assistant and failed in all areas of her job. This is everything except the doctor himself. The billing., my surgery was 2 months late, my prescriptions were never once right, my paper work needed for other dr's & lawers and all the other dealings were all done incorrectly by Jessica. I wasn't able to have surgery until I contacted Jessica's boss/administrator ð???ð??»

He is dreadful,egotistical, did surgery incorrectly. I would VERY strongly warn people against using him.

Visiting Dr. Waldrip was a horrible experience. Not only did he have inappropriate bed side manner, but he also did not believe my pain level each time I saw him. He just continued to medicate me. For 18 months! In the end he ended up accusing me of misleading him. After this I saw a new doctor, who arranged for surgery, and I now live pain free with no medication at all.

He was to the point, and I didn't like what he said to me, which was my weight problem, but he is right I carry to much weight and that isn't good for my back problem, but he gave me some good advise and what to do to avoid back surgery. His office staff is very nice.
