Dr. Robert Wenham is a gynecologic oncologist and Chair of the Gynecologic Oncology Program at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr. Wenham has a strong interest in research and is a principal investigator for numerous clinical trials to improve cancer care for women. His research activities include the use of novel drugs for the treatment of gynecologic cancers. He has received the Molly Cade Ovarian Cancer Research Award from the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation. Dr. Wenham enjoys the challenge of helping women with complex issues and the opportunity to offer them cutting-edge therapies, from the latest chemotherapy approaches to biologically targeted therapies, minimally invasive surgery, and clinical trials. He is also an expert in pelvic exenteration surgery, a very complex operation that offers hope of a possible cure for certain patients with gynecologic cancer. Clinically, he prefers a more collaborative approach where the patient plays an active role in decisions as he guides them …through the pros and cons of their options. The future of gynecologic oncology is exciting as the rapid pace of translational research is changing the outcome and quality of life for patients. Dr. Wenham points out that life expectancy for certain women's cancers, such as ovarian cancer, has dramatically improved over the last 30 years and continues to improve at an encouraging rate. Dr. Wenham also sees patients at Moffitt Cancer Center at International Plaza.

Dr. Wenham is an Outstanding Professional I actually changed my Insurance because my insurance that I had for the past 12yrs, stop covering my Moffitt care. Recommended that I can change Dr. Absolutely will not change. Moffitt and Dr. Wenham has been there for me for the past 7yrs. Thank u Moffitt thank u for Dr. Wenham. Blessings upon Blessings

First time with Dr Wenham. Excellent explaining the procedure, what should be done to proceed, answered every question in terms I understood, patient, kind, easy to talk to and didn't make me feel intimidated asking questions. He gets an ten out of ten!!

If you are looking for an Oncologist, Dr. Wenham is a great and caring doctor. Don't let fear or concerns get in the way. The sooner the better is a fact with oncology. They will help you.

Puffed up ego, condescending, sarcastic. If he dies a biopsy (the size of a pencil eraser), he thinks Tylenol is reasonable. Last of a male-dominated generation that thinks women don't have pain down there. Go somewhere else to get quality care.

I highly recommend Dr. Wenham. He gave me an accurate diagnosis and options for treatment. I appreciate his knowledge and hard work and his remarkable intelligence, especially considering how complex being a specialist in this field is.
