Dr. Robert Gray Whitmore, MD

I had a recent lumbar spine surgery with Dr. Whitmore. This was my second surgery with him, different herniated lumbar discs. In both instances, I truly feel he has given me my life back. This most recent case was by far the most traumatic and painful experience I have had. Dr. Whitmore presented himself with confidence in his ability to relieve my pain and gain function of my right leg back. True to his word, 3 weeks out and I have no pain and am using my leg. I appreciate his confidence, direct approach, and honesty. He scheduled me quickly, adding me on to an already full surgical day. I am very, very grateful and I highly recommend him to anyone with spinal dysfunction and / or pain.

Dr. Whitmore took immediate action when my husband came in for an office consult with an MRI for a herniated L5. Turned out to be Cauda Equina Syndrome & he cancelled the rest of his appointments that day & scheduled emergency surgery that afternoon. We had never met Dr. Whitmore, but he was so kind & caring & addressed my husband's issue with compassion, efficiency, and expertise. We are so grateful to Dr. Whitmore & my husband is doing great 4 weeks post op!

I just had lumbar back surgery 6 weeks ago. Dr Whitmore is kind and compassionate and very good at what he does. Most of my problems have already been remedied, I am still in the healing mode and expect the other problems to be gone with time. His staff is wonderful, I think I had both Amanda and Andrea on speed dial--they were great/always willing to help.
