Dr. Robert T Yanagisawa, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Yanagisawa for many years, he is professional and very patient. He has made the process very easy, I have been seeing him with either office or video appointments whenever it’s more convenient for me. He is also very responsive to any messages I have sent for questions. I would highly recommend him!

I almost canceled my appointment based on a few of the negative reviews. He was honestly one of the nicest doctors I've ever seen. Very compassionate and thorough. Well worth the wait for an appointment. My wait time in the office was like a minute.

First I had to beg him to take blood work that would eliminate me from having to have it done again at internist a week later. as my veins many girls have a problem getting it the first time if at all. I had to ask 3x and get annoyed! Mt sinai did not have enough blood taken and I never got the results to the tests I asked for. Had to beg him to order strips as I was pre diabetic. and wanted to monitor to know how my body reacts with certain foods! I have a lot of med issues and was very concerned and upset............Does he want me to be full blown like Medicare??? said was not necessary had to pursue this. Second visit I got a different answer to a question. I see know he wrote an article about weight control and has a weight management program but never talked of it when I said having difficulty losing 25 lbs and thought I was eating well. Could not understand why not working. Never brought up or made appt for this. Still weight not coming off.........

Do not go to this doctor. He seems like a nice guy, but all of the hassle you will go through is not worth it. First, I had a 45 minute wait. Then he tells me if I have a certain disorder, there is nothing he can do about it. To top it off I have been waiting two and a half weeks for a call with my blood work results. I have called his office numerous times and I keep hearing promises of "He's going to call tomorrow" and I keep hearing that over and over again, with no actual call. So please do yourself a favour and go to another doctor. Please.

Dr. Yanagisawa is of course an expert in his field, and very smart, but he does not have a lot of time, and I would only recommend going to him if you can stand the rudeness, unpleasantness, negligence, and just plain nastiness of his scheduler, Nancy.
