After waiting to see what I thought was the best neurosurgeon, I left heartbroken, never a dialogue between the Dr and me to discuss my situation, all I heard was I will see you in 6 months as he left the room. HE IS A POMPOUS UNAPPROACHABLE SURGEON THAT SHOULD HAVE RETIRED ... HE IS NOT CONNECTED TO HIS PATIENTS ONLY HIS ENTOURAGE OF RESIDENTS ... HE MAKES BAD DECISIONS WITH FALSE HOPE AND LONG LASTING NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON THE PATIENT ... ADDITIONALLY HIS OUTCOME RATIO IS NOT POSITIVE !!!

Not happy with my father's surgery. He's blind in right eye and the opinion of other doctors is that he should have had radiation. Always get many opinions, don't trust the first surgeon. Heros is too aggressive and should have been truthful about all the options.

Dr. Heros saved my life when he was the head of neurology at Mass General Hospital in 1989.. For that, I am eternally grateful ... able to see my children's children grow. He removed an Intraventricular neurocytoma.. which from what I have read.. is quite rare... I was 34 years old then and am approaching 61.. Cannot thank this man and his colleagues enough...

In 2006, I was diagnosed with a giant ophthalmic aneurysm, I travelled from Trinidad and Tobago to Miami to see Dr Heros because the doctors in Trinidad said I would die if they attempted surgery. The aneurysm was on the right carotid artery. Dr Heros saved my life, he did a procedure from my neck which greatly reduced the flow of blood to the aneurysm. The aneurysm is now thrombosed and I am doing okay. Thank you Dr Heros.

this doctor misdiagnosted my father and ruined his life in 2009 when he placed a shunt in his brain due to NPH. After the surgery he became worse and is now in a wheel chair. Then later diagnosed him with Parkinson's with out tremors. He ruined our family. Get a second opinion if you go to this doctor.

Dr. Heros saved my child's life. He knows his job well. I hear he is one of the best surgeon's in the United States. If you or anyone you know needs neurological assistance, Jackson Memorial Hospital is the place to go. Dr. Heros is the Chief Neurologist where he trains other neurological doctors. He is there to save lives. He is not the type for much words but has a great team who is willing to help answer questions even though Dr. Heros himself may not be available to talk. He is a very busy doctor...saving lives is the name of his game. That is what he is dedicated to do. May God allow him lots of health and knowledge to continue saving lives. I commend his entire team with the help of God in saving my child.
