Another exorbitantly priced LA shrink whose idea of compassionate, empathetic therapy is talking to you like a retarded child, and who will abscond from offering any kind of real help once her interest wanes.

There is no more compassionate, generous, or skilled clinical professor than Dr. Kissell. She maintains a private practice of well over 25+ years along with being consistently active in teaching and directing mental health initiatives at UCLA. She has been my private psychiatrist since I first met her when I was a student at UCLA when I was struggling with severe major depression, anxiety and panic disorder. I was so very sick when I first started treatment with her. Yet she has followed me through undergrad, graduate school and all the way to high level corporate jobs I never thought I would be capable of obtaining. She is extremely intelligent and a constant source of support and encouragement. I have tried many medications over the course of my treatment with her, yet she is always willIng to hear me out on why this or that one is not helping. She never questions my experience and is always willing to try plan B, plan C, etc.I have seen many doctors in my day and many more… psychiatrists than I wish to mention.There is no one more respected in the medical field both nationally and internationally.
