Dr. Robin S Park, MD

PLEASE, I BEG you to stay away from this woman and her practice!! Watching my mom get treated so poorly by Dr. Park and her scheduling staff was excruciating. She has set me and people I know back so much via meds. I was her patient for so long and was on so many incompatible meds, all at such high dosages. She takes shortcuts that really affect your life and she doesn’t care about your well-being. How she uses her power dynamic to her advantage is sickening. I wrote all this hoping someone will read it and avoid her and thus have a chance at recovery and a better life. Please.

I love Dr Parks!!! She really listens to me and show that she sincerely care She tries hard to figure out the best medication for you. If you say it’s not working she try hard to see what will work. Yes sometimes she does run behind. but she’s worth the wait!!!

I have known Dr. Park for several years and she is probably the best psychiatrist I've ever worked with. She doesn't overmedicate and is able to perceive underlying possibilities. An expert in diagnosis!

Dr. Park isn't really helpful to me at all, she accuses my mother about not listening to what she says. My visits are really just "Hi, how ya doin'? That's good. Okay, bye, see you next time!". I don't think that she should be a psychiatrist because she doesn't help me at all. She keeps prescribing medications that do not work and I really need help.

Dr.Robin Park was very quick to prescribe pharmaceuticals before anything else (ie.diet, exercise,sleep,etc.). Though this is common sense to most, when my ex and I didn’t agree, the lack of recommending these things first only made matters worse. Then, when on meds for anxiety and depression and there was no positive shift, she only maxed out the meds and added more. Ultimately my son was completely overwhelmed and hospitalized. When I told the hospital doctor I wanted my son off all meds because they quite obviously were not helping, he agreed. My son was taken off all meds. Days later we had our son back. Hospital doctor said, “Congratulations dad, you were right.”. Beware of over medicating!!

My family has been seeing Dr. Park for several years. We have had nothing but positive experiences with her and the office staff. Yes, she tends to run behind, but this is because she takes her time with the patients and answers all questions. She will also work you in if there is a crisis.

I have waited to see her sometimes for a long period, but it is always worth the wait. She never rushes you and is great at suggesting medications that apply to you. Dr. Park always asks for your input and has time for you. She has been a life saver for me and equally for my granddaughter. I have seen her for several years and she can fit you in if there is an emergency. She is truly a kind and caring person. I can't imagine seeing anyone else. The office staff is also wonderful.

Beware. My child was put on the maximum ADULT dosage of 2 medications and experienced horrible, life-threatening side effects. Her response was stronger medication with even worse side effects. She’s arrogant and has no interest in a parent’s knowledge of their own child. I’m so grateful we got away from her.

You wait anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour and a half PAST your appointment time. I heard people have waited two hours there as well. Good thing they've got that movie on-the same one every time. She continually forgets what medications you are on, suggesting you take something you quit because of a bad reaction and even giving you a prescription for the wrong drug. I do not trust her. She doesn't really listen to your concerns, health problems, and side effects of the medication. I gained 13 pounds on Lexapro, and she spent ten minutes arguing whether I had even gained weight (WHAT??) and then trying to wring out some way it could be my fault. Then she insisted I double the dose...I even literally gained 2.5 pounds over night the next day. I am furious. I have now gained over fifteen pounds because of this medication. It has made me very self conscious and it has been very hard to lose the weight. I can't believe she didn't take me off this mediaction on the first visit after I had… been on Lexapro (about two weeks since she prescribed it to me), and I had gained 9 pounds. But she suggested it was 9 pounds of water weight...

I saw Dr. Park about 5 years ago, and I still think of her to this day. She made judgement on me right away, at the time I was 18-19. She also jumped to a conclusion about a diagnosis. She called me promiscuous, and fat. She questioned why I had left my previous doctor, she didn't actually listen to my reason. She later told me she talked to that doctor and in fact instructed that doctor during her education (no wonder I didn't like that doctor either). She also called me a "doctor shopper" because she was the third doctor I had been to. To me mental health is important, and it's important for me to find the right doctor, I'm sure if you're reading this you relate. I haven't seen a psychiatrist since her because it was such an unpleasant experience.
