Dr. Rocco Richard Calderone

NO MORE PAIN WHEN WALKING,!!! No need to say anymore!!

I'm 54 and have a very active job and lifestyle. I suffered from back pain for years and found out I had no disc between L4-L5 so I was bone on bone. Dr. Calderone fixed me by putting in a titanium disc and rods. That was 4 months ago and I feel absolutely normal. Best part is I have no pain and have more flexibility than I did the last few years. He spends as much time as you need to answer all your questions and concerns. He's a great surgeon and doctor, in my opinion. And his staff has always been efficient and friendly.

I would not recommend this doctor. You wait for 1.5 hours to see him for less than 10 minutes. Plus his staff is not helpful and forget to make get authorizations,unless you remind them. In addition after surgery he never sees you and if you leave a message with his office, he never calls back.

Have been dealing with Dr. Calderone ever since I got injured while working in Law Enforcement in Los Angeles County. He preformed two total Hip replacements followed by two total knee replacements. I’ve dealt with a few different Dr’s over the years for arthroscopic procedures for injuries sustained while on Duty. I can say with 100% certainty that he was and still is the best surgeon I’ve ever Had. I Live in Las Vegas and I still drive 4 to 5 hours each way because I trust his judgement and his skills as a Ortho Surgeon. Sure there are times when the Dr. is running late which is understandable because he is a well recognized and recommended surgeon. I figure it this way. I’d rather have a Doctor that runs a bit late sometimes as opposed to one who is never late. When you are good, things happen unexpectedly, and if you want the best you would wait for the best.

For my back, foot and, currently hand issues, I have been visiting him in his office at Camarillo: Each time been greeted by his friendly staff. I always educate myself before I see any MD. He is very knowledgeable and super pleasant. He explained my back, foot, and hand problems in very simple and understandable way .From the first moment I have trusted him. I wish all MDs were so friendly like him. I would recommend him to anybody who needs orthopedic care and attention with no reservation.

Incompetent rude and lack professionalism.

Dr. Rocco Calderone is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He is very knowledgeable in his field. He encourages 2nd opinions to reassure his patient of his opinion. Dr. Calderone is also very personable and his staff is very nice and efficient. I would highly recommend Dr. Calderone. Also he explains the procedures he will perform and takes great care to avoid any infection.

We first met Dr. Calderone as an emergency for my wife's broken wrist. After setting the fracture, he followed up with a bone plate a week later. She healed well. Then she ruptured a tendon in the same wrist 6 months later. It was repaired successfully with a graft. I have had three knee surgeries, waiting for the latest one to heal. All his work is excellent, with great results.

I can not thank Dr. Rocco Calderone, and his staff, enough for giving me my life back. Everything went wonderful, highly qualified and personable doctor. I healed really quick with an incision that is only a few inches long...and I never even got a bruise. How do you do that? Wonderful doctor, wonderful wonderful wonderful to be mobile and pain free!!!

Hi office support leaves much to be desired. They don't call you back.
