Dr. Roderick G Davis, MD

I saw Dr. Davis for the very first time today and left very upset and unimpressed to say the least. My poor son was already very anxious about seeing a new doctor and he made it worse! Very cocky, haughty, HORRIBLE people skills and horrible communication skills with children, it's unfitting as his specialty is children's care. I felt like he was talking down to me and even judging my parenting. We are not returning to this guy, our search for a great pediatrician goes on.

An incredible doctor. He was able to diagnose difficult and uncommon medical problems. Good bedside manner. Smart and kind.

The staff is horrible at Portland Pediatric, and my toddlers do not like going there at all. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Davis has the best personality for little patients. Down to Earth, straight forward, doesn't kiss your behind, That's what me and my 3 children love about him!

All three of my children have been his patients for close to 14 years. He has always been FANTASTIC in every category. I never experienced the negative behaviors of some of the negative reviews. I was impressed when he called me about my daughter at 8 pm in the evening and gave me his cell phone # and said call him anytime during the night if I was concerned about her. Over the years when I needed a sick visit I ALWAYS got an appointment that morning. This is medical care the way it should be always!!! We are moving soon and will miss him.

I was disappointed when my son was admitted to a specialist at strong and Dr. Davis would not be in charge, but I was so impressed when he came in all three days to be sure everything was going well. Especially when my insurance was never charged by him. The office said he never charges for courtesy hospital visits. Wow.

We tried 3 physicians and none would take my son as a patient because he has complex medical issues. Not only would he accept him but he saw my son and husband for an emergency "get to know his medicines" appointment, in 48 hours, and even called his cardiologist. He was so complete. Great Doctor!

Doctor Davis has great bedside manner and always takes his time explaining his diagnosis, even drawing out his explanation. I leave with an understanding of what's going on with my child(ren). He has correctly diagnosed my child(ren) when others have not or would not have.

there is much I'd like to say about him personally as well as professionally but this site won't post it anyway. So just beware. He may seem caring & concerned and may be intelligent but he lacks good ethics and morals. I have proof!
