Dr. Rodolfo Fierro-Stevens, MD

This MD could careless about your child. We did not agree with his treatment wanted to drug our son before exploring other options and he said he was not our neurologist for not agreeing to meds. Told us to stop looking stuff up. Rude and unhelpful. Find a true neurologist.

I just came from his office. I would not recommend him to anyone. Within 3 minutes of him being in the room, he told us the head injury my son got at 2 years old had nothing to do with the issue at hand. My son was fine before this and he did not know ANYTHING about my son or his issues. He would ask a question and interrupts every two seconds when trying to answer the question, therefore never getting an answer. It was more like an interrogation that an interview as he would ask the same question over and over like the response would be different. I told him to let my husband finish what he is saying and then ask any other questions he may have as if he would of let him finish talking, maybe he would know what the issue is. He told us that this is how he conducts his "interviews" and that is how it would be. He seen how upset my husband was getting for constantly being interrupted and he still kept doing it to the point my husband asked what were the policies on recording. He was told… none. He took out his phone to record and then Fierro got very defensive and told us "Interview over" and we had to leave. This man was very rude and even when my husband told him he was offended, he did not apologize but instead told us he would do what he needed to get the information that he found relevant. We felt very disrespected and he did spent more time arguing with my husband then he did asking about our son.

Very rude receptionist. I called to make an appointment and she wasn't helpful at all. She was yawning while speaking and did not say thank you, good morning, or you are welcome......Terrible customer service skills!!!

El Paso doesn't give much of a choice when it comes to medical needs for pediatric neurology, but trust me, you're better off spending the money to look for a real doctor that cares for his patients outside of El Paso. Took my daughter to Texas Children's hospital in Houston where doctors took the time to explain her MRI in great detail. Much of the information that Fierro said was inaccurate. Fierro said my daughter could not process images (essentially she'd be blind). Doctors in Houston said there was nothing to support that diagnosis in her MRI and now she's tracking and reacting to her toys and reflection. She's obviously not blind as her Houston doctor explained. Don't put yourself through an appointment with this man. He does not care about his patients, he's not knowledgeable and he's too overbooked to make any appointment worthwhile.

Don't recommend him you have to wait 3 hours to get called into the room n the main lady at the desk is rude

Dr. fierro'a staff is not very nice and most of the time they do not know what they are doing. I have been seeing him for 9 years now & he lied to me for 7 years & said that my JME, juvenile myoclonic epilepsy could go away. For 6 years he kept testing me & kept taking me off of my medicine when the chances of my JME going away were very slim. He could not help me with my migraines but my seizures are under control now. I will not be returning to his office anymore.

Very unsatisfied

i had set a appt about two wks before the date once i call to make sure since when my husband went to set it up the assistant seemed like he was bugging her but setting it up. so as im calling to check if there open since it was a holiday, they tell me there is no record set up but im looking at the card they give with the date, after being on hold for a while they tell no theres nothing here so im getting up since this is a important appt, the assistant says ill call u back 1 hr later no call so i call back so now i have less then 30 mins to make it to the appt, if they found it yet again no the dont see a appt so i must be crazy since im still looking at the ticket i got for the appt which i told her i know we do there as to be a problem as im not trying to get up set over there carelessness i let the young lady know and she puts me on hold and gives the phone to another assistant who decides to get snappy once she says out of the blue OH yes you do have a appt. im at the point to… why would i go to a place where there staff can find a appt nor conduct them self in a professional manner. as she tells me u can still come him even do now i have 15 mins to get dress n etc to make which wouldn't happen. i tell her the time frame and now she getting more snappy and as im telling her what was the problem she just uh huh n yes'es me on every thing instead of giving me a real answer and then tells me well once u get here we CAN FIGHT THEN. (Really, u want to fight a person u dont know for all u know i could be a crazy person that would God knows what to u because of that comment) IM surprised im not yelling at her nor trying to fight about a appt just get a understand on why she isnt doing her job correctly and how she is making the dr office look. once i tell her i wont be coming in and i want to speak to the doctor u know of course she isn't about to tell him since she knows im about to tell the doctor about this assistant. im still waiting on a call back. lets see if that actually happens.
