Dr. Rodrigo Rodriguez JR., MD

Dr. Rodriguez decided with out reading my test results that I am a hypochondriac, even though another neurologist had diagnosed with a medical condition. He also wrote it all over my file that I am a hypochondriac. During the visit, I felt faint and he insisted on leaving me alone in the room. He was also on his cell phone texting during my visit. His resident was more knowledgeable and compassionate that he was. His resident even tried to stick up for me at one point. I am a clinician myself, it takes a lot of guts to be the newbie and go against a fully licensed doctor. He spent less that 15 minutes with me, his resident spent more than an hour with me.

Talked over me, ignored reason for visit and attempted to immediately put me on different meds that are contraindicated for me. If you are suggesting Botox and antidepressants two minutes after meeting a patient without reading their chart there is an issue.He did not bother reading the imaging studies, medical history and list of meds I had sent and tuned out my explanations. After one visit I told his staff I would not be returning.

He didn't even look at my medical history, medication list or imaging studies, but immediately started pushing all sorts of meds and injections. By my count, he pressed six different meds that are completely contraindicated for me. He was told that I was there only for a checkup after a neurological incident but kept talking over me and insisting that I needed to do migraine management with him. After one appointment I told his staff I was not going to work with this doctor.

One of the rudest doctors I have ever met. Disgusting.

I have been his patient for about 15yrs. He is great to discuss treatments and issues with. He is respectful and spends time needed with you, He has helped me more than I can say.
