Dr. Roger Kennedy Boyce, MD

I just had my first visit with DR. Boyce. Felt very comfortable with him and his staff. A very caring and thorough physician. He is a good DR. who really cares about his patients. Glad I found him.

Came in for a referral to an orthopedist with a suspected stress fracture from running. They do not make appointments, so every visit is a walk-in. Waited for 4 (!!!!!!) hours until finally seen by the doctor. He first said that running does not cause fractures in shin bones (NOT TRUE), then he examined the leg and agreed that it does look like a stress fracture. Instead of referring me to a specialist, he sent me to do a useless Xray (x-rays do not show stress fractures), and was confused about the name of the bone (had to look the name up on a skeleton chart, then the receptionist had to google the spelling). Does he even have a medical degree??? Another extremely unprofessional thing - he told me I had to pay him $15 co-pay, although my co-pay is only $10. He just put the money in his pocket and never gave me a receipt. I am pretty sure my insurance pays him enough - did he really have to steal $5? Came back to get my x-ray results a few days later. The office was open at 10.30,… and I was the first one there. After 2 hours of waiting, the nurse informed me that the doctor was not even there yet, and that they were expecting him to arrive some time soon. I just demanded my X-ray results and left. I will NEVER come in to see that doctor again! It looks like his practice survives mainly because of old patients that don't mind wasting an entire day, because nobody in their right mind would ever trust the doubtful expertise of this individual.

The wait was tolerable, as it was a walk-in visit, as they all are. 1st come 1st served. The staff was very courteous, helpful and considerate, especially during our wait. Dr. Boyce was very good. Excellent bedside manner. I recommend, but please don't go the same days I go to extend my waiting time longer. :)

Dr.B is a great doctor, been going to him over 10 years now, always happy and courteous and knows my name, not my chart, that's big in my book, he's easy to talk to, I would recommend any one to visit him
