Dr. Chams decided it would be a good idea to operate on both my shoulders at the age of 23. In the process Dr. Chams absolutely destroyed my right shoulder. I experienced nerve pain/damage all the way down to my fingers, catching, clicking, popping, and completely lost my ability to normally use my right arm. It’s been two years now and dr chams has done absolutely nothing other than reassure me whatever going on is not from his surgery. To this day my right shoulder is at about 25% of where it was. Stay far away from this clown salesman. He will tell you whatever he has to to get you to do surgery. If anything goes wrong he will go to no end to avoid responsibility. His explanation was my symptoms were coming from my neck to whcih they ordered an epidural that smashed the nerves in my neck leaving me unable to work and bed ridden at 25. He is a narcissist, the idea his surgery might not have gone right is not even a consideration for this criminal.

If you are looking for unnecessary surgery than he is the doctor for you. Terrible bedside manner. I was told he is the “best doctor.” That is far from the truth. Plenty of better and more honest doctors out there

That’s what Dr. Chams told me. I asked for a CT scan to take to the next shoulder Doc I was going to see. Who took one look at my CT scan, and said: “You rotator cuff is hanging by a tiny bit of muscle, and you’re getting a new reverse shoulder because of the destroyed joint.” Got the new shoulder, had months of PT. Life goes on.

Today I celebrate my 1 Year Anniversary from a full tear Rotator Cuff Surgery with Dr. Chams. I have exceeded not only the Practice's goals but my own. I followed Dr. Chams recovery protocol and fully committed to my PT; never missing a session and always doing my exercises as prescribed. I researched a lot of surgeons prior to choosing Dr. Chams, due to the large tear, but I believed that my decision was based on what I envisioned for my future. Thank you Dr. Chams and team at IBJI.

Dr. Chams did surgery on my knees that nobody wanted to do and it changed my life. He is proactive and confident in his ability to get a positive outcome...for good reason!!!

I was so impressed with Dr. Chams. He has a great personality, he takes time with you, LISTENS to you (which most doctors don't today) and provides great care and advice.

A big thank you to Dr. Chams and staff for helping me through ACL reconstruction after a soccer injury. I was quite apprehensive about going through the surgery and the months of recovery. Surgery day went very smoothly. Arrived at hospital at 8am and was back at home by noon. Dr. Chams and staff were very polite, knowledgeable and answered any of my questions regarding surgery. Post operative pain was pretty minimal so I know that Dr. Chams did a great job. For the rehab, they provided me with recommendations for physical therapists who were close by and this allowed me to maintain my everyday life responsibilities without too much disruption. Recovery progressed very well and I'm back to running and playing soccer with my kids at 7 months post surgery. Overall, I give Dr. Chams and his staff an A+ and would not hesitate to recommend them for anyone in need of ACL reconstruction. Todd Hopkins

I have had a knee and bicep surgery with Dr. Chams. My knee was 5 years ago when I lived in the area. I was so pleased with my experience, that when I tore my bicep, I drove the 3hrs from Michigan to have him fix it.

We were referred to Dr. Cham’s by a friend and couldn’t have been more pleased with him and the team at Hawthorn Surgery Center. The entire team was very personable and friendly. They took the time to build a rapport with my wife and I and made sure that no questions were left unanswered. The surgery was a success and I was back to participating with my children’s sport activities in no time. Dr. Chams’s bedside manner was nothing but extremely professional, kind and caring. He truly cares about his patients and their outcomes. We will be returning in the future for any orthopedic needs.

Doctor Chams' patients consistently do well. They are accurately diagnosed and well informed about their conditions. They are treated with the highest skill available. of course there no magic cures, but I've seen him "fix" many people who have been struggling for years under the care of other doctors.
