Dr. Roger W Satterthwaite

Dr. Satterthwaite misdiagnosed two issues. Fortunately, neither error led to a long-lasting problem. Nevertheless, I don't have confidence in his ability.

I'm 72 years old, and this doctor performed a Radical nephrectomy with complications, and after surgery when he let my family know the details, they were in tears because he made it seem like i was as good as dead and only alive because machines were keeping me that way. He was rude and acted un-caring and unsympathetic to any ones feelings with a no hope attitude. Turns out I was fine and only in ICU because of blood transfusion recovery. I'm still alive and I am angry with him scaring my family the way he did.

I was seen by Dr. Satterthwaite in his Pasadena office. First off you need to read the Medical CV, this will help know who you are choosing as a specialist. Dr. Satterthwaite is a Military Veteran. Thank you for your service. I was very nervous about this appointment and what the possible outcome could be ( based on information from my Primary Treating Physician). Dr. Satterthwaite was very professional, knowledgeable kind and right to the point. He gave me medical stats about my diagnosis which eased my concerns. He let me know how many procedures he has done. He did answer all my questions, with the pros and cons. I would recommend this doctor if you want to get the medical facts and not wishy, washy information.

Seemed indifferent and uninterested, and he didn't provide any information that I couldn't have gotten from the Internet.
