Dr. Roger Mclachlan Thompson, MD

I had a very different experience than most on this site. He was agitated and condescending during my visit with him. His attitude was unprovoked and unprofessional. I was shocked and disappointed by the treatment. Finding a new pcp after many years of being at that practice.

Dr. Thompson is a pleasure to visit. He is competent, friendly and caring. I have been to see him for over 30 years. His staff is excellent as well.

Love this office and I hate going to a dr. I feel very comfortable in this office.

Unfortunately due to insurance I switched to dr Thompsons office and it was the biggest mistake I ever made. I went for a yearly physical and they do not check your urine and he didn't look in my throat. Not being thorough is an understatement. They collect your copay and that is all they are interested in. He made me feel I was bothering him and he asked me "what would you like me to do about that". I said you're the doctor. He's rude and I think he has trained his staff to be that way. I've been to the other Drs and they are just ok

Wish I would have seen the last two experiences before paying him as our doctor. Mine was that and moreâ?¦ If you don't like your job, get out. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. Would give a zero rating if it was there.

He has the standard 12 patients/hour family-practice business model where each patient gets 4-5 minutes of time to get a gross target revenue of >= $720/hour. That's ok but it's difficult when a subsequent phone-call to him providing feedback and to get information on test results and what to do is met with his not recalling the examination (except for what's written in the chart), despite the exam occurring only 3 days prior. It's more frustrating when I couldn't get him to call me back (over the course of 9 hours - he tried to have his office personnel provide a relay except ... they were as perplexed as me b/c he needed to provide the info). When he finally called me back after I called the answering service after-hours, he was deeply annoyed, subordinating, and didn't remember the exam. I then provided him the feedback of my experience with the medication he prescribed and he then just guessed at a couple of things, got more impatient, and then asked what I wanted to do (in a… tone that wanted me off the phone). I was surprised and said the reason I was calling is that I don't know - I need to rely on his expertise (which I wasn't too sure of now that he didn't have key parts of the exam and the primary reason I went in to visit him for written down). A thoroughly disappointing experience -- I hope he was just having a bad day.

Whole family have been patients of Dr Thompson for over 20 years. Dr Thompson Is excellent; never had a bad experience. Always gives us the time we need and then some. Follows up with phone calls on major circumstances. VERY VERY Caring!!Other physicians in is practice are great as well. I do agree with some of the other comments about the staff. Some can be rude and some are awesome. They have gotten better over the years.

Dr Thompson is the absolute best doctor I have ever seen. My whole family uses him and my in-laws moved here from NY and now they love him as well. My father-in-law who has since passed referred to him as Father Thompson. He has seen my family through some really tough times and has even made a house visit when my father in law was really sick. He feels like part of our family now. His associates are also very good.

This doctor is WONDERFUL!!! Love him and the others in the practice. The staff (except Jackie) all need to be fired-they are so rude! Danielle is so rude she even hangs up on you. If you could remove the staff from the doctor it would be a winning combo!!

My entire family has been a patient for decades. Dr Thompson listens, explains and answers all questions. I would never consider going anywhere else...ever! Someone you can trust.
