Dr Coutinho and Dr Hoefle sre the best team medically. Very caring and have treated my husband and myself professionally and referred us to the right specialist when needed. Once you become their patient they will always see you themselves or one of their health care team members. I am so great full to them.

The Doctor is great. The nursing staff can use a lot of work. The average 4-5 days to follow up regarding any requests and the blame the Doctor for all the delays. Very disappointing.

My teenage son initially saw Dr. Coutinho for a sports physical a couple of years ago because the wait was too long to get into his Pediatrician. My son really liked him so we switched over and have been happy with both Dr. Coutinho and the office.

I have been seeing Dr. Coutinho for about 2 years at Stone Oak Family Doctors. He is almost always running on time. He is very compassionate and caring. I appreciate the fact that he listens to my concerns and we decide together what the course of action will be. I would reccommend him very highly. Now my husband also sees him.

Once of the worst doctors I have ever been too! I waited in his office for over an hour before he finally came in. I told him I was having trouble breathing because of my asthma and having issues recently with my allergies. His suggestion: stop taking my asthma medication. With this, he tried to quickly shake my hand and walk out the door. After waiting over an hour, I expected to have more than 2 minutes with him to discuss why I was there. He on the other hand was very rushed and wanted to get on to the next patient as quickly as possible. I told him I had another question to ask so he stopped midway out the door and huffed asking what else. I tried telling him stopping my medication was only going to make things worse again. It was the only thing keeping me from using my inhaler 5 times a week. He then started citing medical text about asthma guidelines and was surprised that every other doctor I've ever been to has not told me to stop taking medication. This doctor is young and… obviously needs to get more experience before seeing patients. The nerve to say get off of your asthma medication, when your patient is clearly having trouble breathing, and to question physicians with years of experience is beyond me. He does not care about his patients and obviously needs to go back to medical school and get more experience. He eventually gave me the name of an allergy & asthma specialist since I was not happy with his medical advice, but said I don't know what you're going to get out of going to a specialist. You just need to experiment with your medications and stop taking them! I wish I would have told him you don't experiment with severe asthma! It's not a condition you should take lightly when your patient has been in the ER multiple times from asthma attacks.After wasting an hour and a half out of my day and a $30 copay, I walked out empty handed and disappointed. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this doctor.

Dr Coutinho is the absolute best doctor my family and I have ever been seen by. He has a wonderful, caring bed-side manner, never rushes us out, always asks if we have any questions that he may have left unanswered. He fully explains what he is doing and how he plans to treat the problem/illness - in general, he leaves no stone unturned. We highly recommend this young man to anyone who wants a caring doctor!

I just moved to San Antonio and just visited Dr. Coutinho for the first time. I found him to be extremely attentive to my needs. He listened, provided good information, and was very professional. I am confident I am in very good hands! The facility was nice, and the staff was professional and courteous.
