Dr. Rolando Augusto Larice, MD

I switched doctors in 2018 after spending years feeling like a shell of myself. I was extremely overmedicated, so much so that I barely remember two full years of my life. Despite everything I was struggling with, I was never once encouraged to seek therapy or build real coping skills. The focus was entirely on prescriptions, not healing. Since switching providers, I have finally experienced what it is like to think clearly again. With the right support and a more balanced treatment plan, I have been able to rebuild my life. But if you are looking to be overmedicated to the point you do not remember anything, and want to spend years tapering off a cocktail of high-dose medications, then by all means book the appointment. Otherwise, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for thoughtful, responsible care.

Dangerous practice. I’ve been a patient for over 5 years. Dr Larice has always been difficult to get a hold of and resistant to any sort of communication outside of appointments but now there is no way to directly contact his office. There is an online portal offered for appointment scheduling (online only) payments, release forms and messaging but the messages are left unanswered. There is no way for pharmacies to reach him either. As a medical professional myself, I see red flags with the practice of prescribing controlled substances and mood altering drugs to patients with serious depression, anxiety or possibly more serious psychiatric illnesses while offering no alternative way for them to reach out for help. I’m afraid someone is going to get hurt or even lose their life if it already hasn’t happened. The current healthcare climate doesn’t offer alternative routes for patients to get help. Please be careful!

Dr Larice is amazing. He has done great things for my life by being a great listener and providing an honest assessment of ways for me to improve my overall mental health. He has provided excellent recommendations for medication that has helped balance things out in my life and his support and guidance has been 2nd to none! His front office staff is efficient and courteous and very timely at getting back to me when I have any questions! Thank you for everything you have done for me!

Office staff is so nice and caring. Always prompt to answer my questions, Dr Larice is a fantastic doctor and always has your best interest at heart. I've seen him for years and I finally feel like myself again! Would recommend to anyone!

BEWARE: Dr. Larice SHOULD NOT be treating anyone but adults. He does not put any time into his patients. We brought our 16 year old daughter to him, and he met with her for 10 minutes and then prescribed her an anti-depressant. When she had a follow-up appt 2 weeks later, he sent his nurse practitioner in to meet with her - for 5 minutes. The same with the 2nd follow-up appt 2 weeks after that. There was never any effort to get to know our daughter or to attempt to figure out if she had any deep-seeded problems or what was going on with her below the surface. But they certainly billed us for an hour each time!! Then the pandemic hit, and when our pharmacy tried to get a refill approved for her prescription, they would not approve it. We would call to try to arrange a video appt so they would fill it, and they would not return our calls. We had to call and call and leave messages, and they finally filled it one time. After that...crickets. They actually had our teen daughter on a… powerful anti-depressant, and then would not refill - leading her to miss several days before we could get them to call in the refill. This went on for weeks, and we finally worked her off the medicine so we wouldn't have to worry about the effects of missing doses. I would consider this doctor a drive-by pill prescriber. Not a good thing when you prescribe very powerful, mind-altering medications.

An amazing doctor that has helped me change my life

Dr. Larice is an excellent doctor. However, you can never get anyone on the phone at his office. Also, no one ever calls you back when you leave a message. Lately, he has been making me pick up one of my scripts a week or more late when I’m trying to study for boards!

Dr. Larice is one of the most caring Psychiatrists I have found in over 15 years of looking. He single handedly saved my life, and he continues to support me throughout my struggles. He's a better doctor than entrepreneur so you might have some struggles getting a hold of him but it's 100% worth it and I will never go to anyone but him ever again.
