Dr. Rolando Madrid Puno, MD

I've been a patient at Dr puno since 1994 he's done a number of spine surgeries on me at fusions I have nothing but good things to say about this man he's helped me keep walking and keep working Dr pono's the only one I let do my back surgery amen

My daughter wore a brace for (2) years before having to proceed with a surgical solution. There are not enough words to express our gratitude for Dr. Puno's thoroughness, patience and expertise. He is an unusually well-rounded surgeon with an exceptional bedside manner. Yes, getting your first appointment with the surgeon will take some time. And yes, the staff is quite busy and not necessarily the most pleasant. But, keep in mind, you are there to see Dr. Puno for his renowned surgical experience and expertise. Once you are seen for the first time, the appointments get much easier to obtain. Highly recommend.

If there’s a doctor that listens and responds to his patients spinal problems it’s Dr. Puno. Impressive that he actually took the time to review the photos and the results of the MRI and explained to both (my spouse and I) the problems identified and what could be done to help. Dr. Puno recommended that I take time to decide if I wanted to go through the surgery after the evaluation since it was a major decision. It’s been over 11 years now and I’m thankful for Dr. Puno and his staff for the effort put forth toward the A/P Lumbar surgery.

Dr. Puno is one of the worst Drs you can attend for serious spine conditions. He caters to insurance agencies, ignoring the patient's health. His staff is one of the worst in Louisville, as well. Most staff members clearly lack education. It is almost impossible to actually speak to a live person at this practice, but when you do, it is usually one of these uneducated folks, who then send you to a voicemail to another staff member, who will never call you back. Wait times are horrible, appointments take months - but then you are rushed thru the appointment once you get there. If you need a spine Dr. who is approachable, listens to you and works for you, rather than being an insurance company shill - keep looking. Dr. Puno's lack of concern for patients is nauseating and disgusting.

I would recommend Dr. Punk to anyone with severe back problems! He is compassionate and very caring!

Very thoughtful Dr. Toy's best 2 make u feel @ ease, & get it correct on the 1st time! Very quick w/ getting U w/ Other inside Dr's to Assists on there part & Dr he chooses is Out of the BEST has always made me Feel very Comfortable Along w/ his Residents Show most up respect of Dr.Puno Patients as they have a Very Awesome Dr too Follow in his Foot Steps! It was a Blessing getting W/ Puno ... So Far I have No regrets Reguardless was Not Looking or exspecting what my MRI had Showed! But he was up front Honest & Patted my Hand & said right to my Face we will get u threw this!!! These kinds of Dr's R VERY HARD 2 Come by in R day & time!! On Top of his Office as a Average/ Good ... This Day in Time is Almost impossible 2 have it All!!

Dr Puno took great care of me and I have had a fusion. Sometimes you have to wait in the waiting room , but he takes time in the rooms and explains everything.. Love him..

After seeing this physician for several years. I understand why the waiting times are so long. This physician truly takes the time needed to explain / address any/all concerns.

Dr. Punos concern for his patients is only outweighed by his skill as a surgeon. Our family is truly blessed to have him as our sons surgeon. HE IS AWESOME! !!
