Dr. Roman B Cham, MD

After breaking my clavicle in a bicycling accident, I referred by the emergency room to Dr. Cham. Assuming that all doctors are "good" and with a sense of panic I went along with the referral. Big mistake. Through research I discovered Dr. Cham used an outdated surgical technique to "repair" my collarbone. My upper body looks unbalanced as one shoulder is narrower than the other. I experience popping sensations and mild pain in my left shoulder to this day, nearly twelve years after my surgery. So why am I writing this now? I was just curious if this incompetent doctor was still in business. Like the other reviewers noted Dr. Cham's demeanor is (was) rude and uncaring. When I had problems with my health insurance he had a collection agency immediately get in touch with me. Friends, the lesson to be learned is this. Don't panic. Shop around for a good doctor. Listen to reviews. Don't make the mistake I did by rushing to a bad doctor like Dr. Cham.

NO GOOD ! Rude Likes to yell at & talk down to his patents. Worst Ever !

I went to Dr. Cham to have my meniscus repaired, being an athlete I was not at all in bad health and am extremely active. Before surgery he marked the wrong knee for surgery and when I corrected him he actually got affended. After surgery he had already left the building by the time I woke up and when my knee recovered it was NOT fixed. A year later I ended up getting another MRI and a referral to another surgeon who was a real surgeon. The new surgeon looked at my MRI and the incisions on my knee and told me that Dr. Cham could not have fixed my knee from that side and that he had no idea what he did inside my knee considering where he entered my knee and the huge tear and flapping cartilage still in my knee. The new surgeon fixed my knee right up properly and simply removed the damaged section which was what Dr. Cham was supposed to have done. Basically he stole money from my Medical Insurance company and forced me to go through a useless surgery for nothing. Horrible experience.… This was also the first surgery I had ever had in my life which made it even worse. Do not go to this man for help. He has no interest in your well-being.

I'm a grown woman with a reasonable level of intelligence, several degrees, and some ortho issues. I'm also aware enough of the world, societal expectations, and health issues to know that 1) carrying extra weight is not optimal, and 2) my being fat is NOT justification for being treated like a disobedient animal. He was rude, dismissive of me AND diagnoses of past doctors blaming every issue SOLELY on my weight. He even boasted about how he denies surgery to multiple obese people every day. And I'm not even that big. I shop in regular stores, not that it should matter. What happens to the mental health of others who are bigger? I shudder to think. Fine. I need to lose a few pounds. Yes, that will lessen the load. But that's not why I was here, and no doctor should try to SHAME a patient. EVER. Do NOT waste your time and money. If you MUST go, bring an advocate unless you're 5' 10" and weigh 125 pounds. You, "Dr." Cham, are UNFIT to interact with patients.

Very rude. Hurt my feelings. no bedside manner.

Extremely poor before, during and aftercare. Never checked my wound during and after stiches. All he did was stick his head in the room as an intern removed my stitches...half an hour later I was back at the office as my wound started to bleed...and yes you could still see the inside of my Palm.

If it's not too late, go somewhere else. But it probably is.

Saw him for a pinched nerve in neck. Without even reviewing an MRI he suggested I had bone cancer, and this was causing all my pain. Needless to say I ended up getting an epidural from another doctor and have no bone cancer. I wasted 3 weeks in pain with this doctor. He even called another doctor that was treating me for something else and told him I had cancer. He came to this conclusion just from an xray and nothing else. Real scary guy.

Doctor spent less than 2 minutes of his time with me. Did not give me a full explanation of the injury and what I felt was not a full examination and just told me I'd need an MRI. The receptionist told me she was too busy to call my insurance company to verify the MRI and that she would get to it later. I left the office in more pain that I came in with and after speaking to the Imagining Center to get the MRI, this office still had not contacted my insurance company so I am still unable to schedule an MRI when the doctor had told the receptionist to get me in today.

He told me my knee was healed at 4 weeks, for the 7 weeks appoiment that followed I kept calling about pain. he sent me for an MRI. My knee was severly torn ligaments acl and meniscs , i got surgery . I am now back in a crushes and knee stabilizer cast and require major pysical therapy from walking on a severlly injured knee for six weeks and recovery time of aprox 6 months
