Dr. Romona D. Satchi, MD

For many years I have utilized and put great stock in the Washingtonian Magazine’s Annual guide to the area’s best physicians in the DMV. This periodical coupled with the US News Health website, are sources of info that I rely on as this region’s top source of health care info. As a Baby Boomer that is dealing with challenges associated with aging, coupled with my predisposition to specific health challenges of paramount importance to me in seeking health care, are consummate quality medical professionals that have earned my trust through listening to my concerns and challenges and providing the best and most appropriate treatment options, as well as preventative measures. In seeking the services of an Endocrinologist through the aforementioned sources of health care information, I was drawn to one in particular; Dr. Ramona Satchi, whose credentials, expertise, and ratings are very impressive. Not all Doctors that are respected experts in their perspective fields are also gifted in… possessing a congenial bedside manner. However, my comfort level is such that I actively SME who possess a trusting, professional & pleasant demeanor. The last thing I need is a physician who negatively affects my emotional disposition, heightens any anxiety, and is difficult to form a positive bond with the patient in a field that is suppose to alleviate illness. I'm fortunate to have prevailed in “hitting the jackpot” in being under the care of Dr. Satchi. There is an old saying, “You never get a 2nd chance to make a first impression.” From the moment I entered her Alexandria office, I was warmly greeted by her Medical Staff. The professional/congenial tone was unwavering throughout my entire interaction with her medical support team all presenting themselves in a positive, congenial and professional manner. This experience and all appts that followed, instilled an unwavering sense of confidence in this physician and her entire medical practice. When the practice moved to Tysons Corner without hesitation, I followed the practice from my residence in the Woodbridge area. Distance was of no importance, as I am confidently under the specialty care of a friendly, altruistic, board certified, SME who consistently addresses my overall health condition, taking the time to discuss my condition in a clear/concise manner, and all treatment options available tailored to my condition and overall health. Moreover, further instilling a complete sense of confidence in her SME knowledge/abilities. Her expertise encompasses getting to the root cause of a condition, finding the most appropriate method to mitigate those conditions. Specifically, I had a serious condition that required a surgical procedure. As a result of Dr. Satchi's evaluation of my condition coupled with my overall health she highly recommended a SME associated particular to my condition, and one who is affiliated with a teaching hospital (i.e GU Hospital & JH Hospital) since I have significant comorbidities and conditions that made this surgery even more delicate and complex. Dr. Satchi’s position being that hospitals affiliated with academia are exposed to a wider range of a multitude of significantly complex medical conditions. She personally reached out to the Chief of these Departments to discuss my challenges and her specific concerns as they relate to my overall health status. As a result, she recommended that I have the required surgery from one of these facilities. Dr. Satchi went over and beyond to ensure that I was in the best hands to obtain a successful outcome. As a result of the surgery and coupled with Dr. Satchi’s consistent unwavering care, today I am enjoying a wonderful quality of life. I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation for the consistent SME advice, and dedicated professional care afforded to me by Dr. Satchi.
