Dr. Ron Max Aryel, MD

I do not recommend this place for partially vaccinated children Or for that matter unvaccinated children and for children who need spacings with their vaccines . Was here for 2 hours. Waste of my time. Should put a sign out in the lobby about not working with these parents and children .

My obstetrician recommended I find a pediatrician and meet with them to make sure I was comfortable with the care they would provide since my son will be born with somewhat of a special need. A friend had referred me to Dr. Aryel. We had our first meet and greet today and he was absolutely brilliant. I had a question about some medication I take and how it would affect my son, while it was not his area of expertise he immediately offered to ask a colleague whose expertise it was to help find the answer right then and there. I loved that since I had been to many doctors before who didn't have the information and frankly didn't concern themselves with finding answers for me, one had even told me to look on the internet. As far as his skills go he had the attitude that it is always a good idea to double check and triple check to find a diagnosis and never be dismissed of a patient or parent's concerns. He also assured me that he always made time to see his patients in emergency situations… and would be accessible 24 hours if the need should arise. We also spent time talking about how unfortunately sometimes others doctors let their ego get in the way and only care about making money and not about the care they provide, and this was not the case at his practice, which is absolutely appreciated and refreshing after experiencing first hand what it feels like to be treated as just a number or a paycheck by other doctors. I look forward to having Dr. Aryel as my son's pediatrician and would recommend him to anyone.

Because of our insurance we had a limited choice when it came to finding a pediatrician for our then newborn daughter. I made my initial appointment with his office for our daughters two month checkup. Then I realized than I need to get in sooner because my daughter need an order to get an ultrasound on her hips, she was born breech. I called the office they said they would need to speak to the doctor. Later that day Dr. Aryel himself returned my call. I was sold at that moment. He moved up our appointment. He is very gentle and friendly. He has a genuine interest in you and your child. He does NOT allow a delayed immunization schedule, which is important to me. He is breastfeeding friendly, but will respect your choice to bottle feed. I would highly recommend Dr. Aryel if you are looking for a knowledgable, straight forward care for your child. We will miss having him to care for our daughter.

I definitely would not recommend this doctor to any of my friends. I felt uncomfortable the whole time during our appointment, and the kicker was it was all unnecessary in the end. Instead of telling me after my daughter's evaluation that his office does not accept partially vaccinated patients, or patients who are not strictly on the CDC schedule, he lectured me and talked for almost an hour about random things relating to vaccination and didn't bother asking me first what my plans for vaccinating her were. When I suggested that we start vaccinating her one at a time to rule out a reaction (since she suffered a bad reaction at two months) he told me that my daughter would endanger the lives of his patients and staff and said instead they would monitor her closely after giving her all of the shots at once. Basically, my child can be a science experiment so he can have the control over her body. Uh, no thanks! He also told me that he didn't believe me when I informed him that my child… had caught pertussis from a person who was fully vaccinated against it and had also received their booster shot a year before. Apparently he knows better than I do even though they were a family member who was hospitalized for pertussis and had a longer onset of symptoms than my daughter. I honestly do not mind one bit that this doctor did not accept us as his patients and I feel like we are better off. Better to find out now what a controlling, uncompromising person is sooner rather than later.

Dr. Aryel is very unprofessional . Not a good doctor for your child. I took my 5 year old son and my 12 year daugther and he was more focused with my daugther than my son. He not just explained to her how to do breast self exam he wanted to show her by touching her and totally forgot about my son.Sometimes he cares about you as an adult more than your child. He made me uncomfortable asking me my personal life.

Our child had a difficult and life-threatening problem that defied several doctors - Dr. Aryel was the only doctor who actually listened to us and made the correct diagnosis. He didn't dictate to us what to do - he offered solutions and put us in control of our child's care. Nothing short of amazing. There's nobody like him in Reno.

We had to switch pediatricians on short notice. I really like Dr. Aryel. He seems to genuinely care about my 2 boys. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Aryel was great. My daughter was in hospital for 4 days and I contacted his office for the first time. His staff was pleasant and very helpful. I recieved an appointment the next day. there was maybe a 15-20 min wait time. Dr. Aryel was nice and related well to my 6 year old daughter. he explained everything in full detail before each thing was done. he respected our privacy and when needed to examine her, a female was present. I would recommend this doctor to any of my friends.

This was a good experience for me. This doctor is very caring and knowledgeable. He was also very thorough and got straight to the heart of the matter in our case. Thank You!
