Dr. Ronnie Ray Hiemstra, MD

I'm a new patient of his from another Dr in the building. He prescribed me something and I asked him specifically about cardiac side effects to which he said absolutely none whatsoever. Imagine my surprise when the pharmacist tells me that not only does this medicine carry a significant risk for cardiac side effects, but that I will be at an elevated risk for these very serious side effects because of my medical history. I called him back and advised him of what I was told and he, in so many words, basically said sorry nothing I can do with you and washed his hands of me. Nice and mild mannered in person but would NEVER go to see him again or send someone I care about you him. This man does not do his job properly and I can see a medical negligence lawsuit coming his way soon if he doesn't change his ways.

Mixed up my results with another patient so now my PERMANENT record says I’m a diabetic (for life because it can not be changed. He just added a note to it, creating a hassle with my insurance company) then told me I should of said something to him about it not sounding right (as if it’s my fault) when I am not diabetic at all. Then Forgot to tell me my pap results so after two visits (still not getting them) I had to call and find them out over the phone. Then he informed my husband he is also a diabetic when his A1C is only <5.7 ... In the process of switching to a new Dr. I do not recommend him at all.

Very considerate and took time to listen. He knew exactly what my illness was and prescribed antibiotics. I was 100% better in 24 hrs.

A very caring and concerned physician. I felt very comfortable talking to him and discussing my problem. I could tell he was experienced and knew what he was doing.

He was very caring & concern about my health . Suggested I get further testing done . No one else has ever done that for me . He actually listen to you. He’s giving me a lot of hope .

Dr Hiemstra is my new doctor due to new insurance. I was apprehensive about meeting with him but he was better than I ever could have imagined. He was kind, professional and extremely thorough. His office staff, Lauren and Christina were delightful. ??

Dr. Hiemstra will not waste time on shooting the breeze: he values your time and his own time much, or enough to get straight to the point, to address your concerns, to offer his recommendation and move on to see another patient. He will not be your shrink, but will listen professionally long enough to know what needs to be done. Trust and respect his knowledge and you will not be disappointed.

arrogant. unprofessional. misogynist. was definitely a virgin until he was 30. I'm assuming that's why he's so aggressive and arrogant. has a lot of pent up frustration from his past of being a loser.

This doctor refused to prescribe a medication which I have been in ten years before he merged his office with my previous doctor who retired.

The physician made a medication error, then when it was brought to his attention he simply refused to prescribe the medication any longer....... very dangerous man. Run away people, run very, very fast.
