Dr. Ronald J Albert, MD

Dr. Albert travels with third year dental students from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine https://sdm.uchc.edu/ to work with under served residents in southern Belize. April 2010 was his sixth consecutive annual dental mission trip to Belize. In 2001, 2003 and 2004 he was faculty for trips to the Amazon River basin in Peru.
Public health clinics, schools and churches are used as temporary clinics to provide care for residents. There is only one public health dentist in the southern region of Belize who also has a limited private appointments available.

Church in Siene Bight where we converted to a dental clinic for a day. Our clinical setting is dependent on local resources such as tables, benches and often plastic lawn furniture. We bring our own supplies and equipment.
