My and my self have been a patient for 25 years would not go anywhere else

Dr. Bruce is very intelligent and has a good bedside manner. However, he prefers to deal with one issue at a time. If you have other problems, make another appointment. The staff are often a hindrance, with self-important attitudes. On one occasion, the office modified my medication strength without telling me and threw me into crises. When I reported this, no one seemed to think it was important. Doctor often with held my medications saying I had to immediately come in for an appointment. I may have been in six weeks earlier, but another appointment to get medicine was required. My NEW doctor will give me 10 days of medications, and set an appointment to come in when it is convenient. He does not create stress or crises for my family.

Getting to see the Doctor through the sullen, cold, and unhelpful staff after talking to the half-witted answering service is the main issue. The staff makes it clear that it would be a great place to work if it weren't for the constant interruptions by the people coming in wanting to see the Doctor. Dr. Bruce is very knowledgeable, listens carefully and responds to the questions asked. He is not intimidated by detailed questions from somebody who has gathered some knowledge during the past 65 years. I highly recommend him as a Doctor.

Dr. Bruce is GREAT! But the office staff are cold, rude, and not able to cooperate with patient. They show no compassion! As much as I like Dr. Bruce I dont know how much longer I can deal with them. My last visit I was told I had to pay my co-pay before seeing the Dr. Who does that??

I really like Dr Bruce, but his administrative staff are another issue. Especially the one at the front desk. Rude and incompetent. I would change Doctors because of her, but I think Dr Bruce is a good doctor.

excellent doctor, wouldn't go to anyone else.

It started 1 years ago, my father started showing signs of dementia and the doctor refused to treat it. My stepmother (RN) would cry to my Aunt and me about the symptoms. I know a little about dementia because my grandmother had it. I made 3 attempts throughout the year to talk to the doctor to no avail, even though I thoroughly explained I did not want to receive information from him it was only to give information like symptoms to the doctor. I had my father sign a release form given to me by an Attorney and then presented it to the doctor and his staff immediately calls my stepmother who tells them not to talk to me saying she has power of attorney and allowing her days to get there with it instead of releasing the medical information to me. Even after she could not prove she had the proper power of attorney the doctors office told me I would have to go to court to see the records. I have pictures of sores/lumps on my father that were untreated for months not to mention the… dementia condition. I filed an APS case as I believe the doctor and my stepmother who work together at the Oak Crest Nursing Home in Rockport, Texas do not have the best intentions for my father.
