I had to come in for a second office visit and pay a copay just for him to say my labs are normal

I am an established patient. However, when I went in for fasting labs 2 days after I had a semiannual total physical exam, I was rebilled for an exam. I was not examined on the day they drew the fasting labs, which again, was 2 days after my complete physical. My insurance company denied the second physical exam which was billed the lab bill because Dr Cottle had done a total exam 2 days prior. I spoke to the billing department who were understanding. I explained that the bill for the labs should not have a charge for a physical exam, because there wasnt one on that date, and the physical exam that occurred two days prior was totally paid for. The billing dept spoke to Dr Cottle and informed me he said bill the patient for the second office visit even though there was no exam just labwork drawn. That was the dealbreaker for me.

This Dr.'s office staff is very unprofessional and he stands behind them even when they are 100% wrong. My family all went to this practice until yesterday due to his poor handling of a very sensitive issue regarding a family member. His nurse (lpn?) made a statement that was insulting and humiliating and the entire staff including the doctor's wife defended her behavior and comment. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone, not for just this incident but for other things as well because I have observed him for quite some time now concerning my elderly mother. Don't waste your time here. There are better PAs in this town that do a better job than this. If you don't mind waiting over an hour and getting insulted and dealing with a wretched office staff and Lpn, here you go.

Odd office policies and a Doctor who assumes the worst in people make for a bad combination at this unhospitable ofice. He actually accused me of being a drug addict because I have gotten prescriptions and followed them accurately. Completely ridiculous.Will not give the simplest test results over the phone because he wants to charge for another visit.

He is very caring Patient oriented. Well trained. Very smart
