Nice man with a good bedside manner but took three xrays to locate a commuted fracture of the fifth metacarpal despite my going back again and again with complaint of pain, swelling and inability to use hand for daily activities. By the way, it was I who informed him that there was a fracture based on information I found in MyChart from an xray taken one month earlier. It could have been casted that whole time so as to heal better. A HAND specialist? Really? And while I don't like to do this, based on my experience I must give him only one star. I would give him zero stars if I could but I was having lots of pain in my elbow so he gave me an injection which helped immensely. I guess I have to give him some credit for that. And as crazy as it might seem, I believe I am going back to him as I think this might have been some kind of a fluke? I am giving him the benefit of the doubt. But this proves that as patients we must be our own advocates. Keep going back until your problem is… resolved one way or another. Change doctors if you have to to get a second opinion.
