Dr. Ronald Lindbergh Hammers, MD

Dr Hammers fixed my chronic sciatic pain. He was very helpful and patient during our initial appointment, answering all of my questions. The surgery went very well and I had an easy recovery. I would highly recommend Dr Hammers to anyone with nerve related issues.

I waited 2 YEARS for an appointment with Dr. Hammers, the entire time being in a chronic state of severe back pain. Let me assure you, that was a long two years. The DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT, (April 3rd) a representative from Dr. Hammers office called at 7:30 a.m. and left a voicemail, canceling my appointment. I assumed there was some type emergency, so I called the office to reschedule. I was told my appointment had been canceled because I had the audacity to see a PA from another practice while waiting for my appointment with Dr. Hammers. (The PA was not able to offer a solution.) Again, 2 years is a long time to be dealing with chronic, severe pain. I don’t know of anyone in a chronic state of pain that wouldn’t seek other medical options while waiting for the appointment with Dr. Hammers – a very logical thing to do. I was never told by Dr. Hammers that I would lose my appointment in the event I chose to see a PA. And yet, Dr. Hammers canceled the appointment after keeping… me waiting TWO YEARS. Inexcusable. I kept my end of the agreement, he did not keep his. This is a man without ethics and totally lacking compassion.

Dr. Hammers is professional, kind and takes the time to explain and listen to concerns.

I had surgery yesterday. He was very skillful, unfortunately, I have another related problem that will have to be referred to another surgeon. This was very bad news. He spent a lot of time explaining the issue to my husband and when he told me he was very kind and compassionate. I would go back to him again. Yes, he is extremely difficult to get into but that doesn’t show a bad attitude as one patient inferred , It means he is in high demand.

Ronald Hammers is an absolute mess. I had a long surgery and ended up with a major tissue damaged area on my chin because I was probs position during a 4-5 hour back case. My nerves have not returned to normal and I have chronic pain in the area. I should’ve also looked more closely at his infection rates before I saw him and had surgery. Much higher than the norm. Had hardware replaced due to infection.

Dr put in rods and screws from T10-L5. He was always kind and patient with me. He answered all my questions in a way I could easily understand. He helped me to walk again with only minimal pain. I will return anytime I need his expertise!

Dr. Hammers did a great job with my surgery. He is very personable and listens well. I would recommend him to any of my family or friends. I look forward to returning to my normal lifestyle soon. Thank you Dr. Hammers!

Dr a Hammers and his entire staff are fantastic: experienced, empathetic, efficient. I am essentially pain free following a very successful diskectomy. I highly recommend Dr Hammers and have referred others to his practice

Totally smug, and thinks he is better then you. I had appointment booked and had a 3 month wait. I begged to get in earlier and to no avail. My backs been out for 8 months and had 2 blood clots from ribs shifting and Very bad pain. HE review pictures from over a year ago, none of my upper back or neck, and said he cant help me and recommended me to a pain managment doctor. Got me out of his office as quickly as he could, like I was waisting his time.

Dr. Hammers removed a herniated disk in my L4 area that was constricting the nerve root causing sciatica pain. He explained the root and reason of the pain, and after trying the things the insurance requires (epidural injection, physical therapy etc.), he did my surgery. I was never more happy with a doctor! We prayed for a doctor with gifted hands, and we chose Dr. Hammers. I was nervous, and a little scared, as we were about to have a back surgery. All my fears were settled when he offered to pray with my husband and I. We were reminded that the Lord would also be in the operating room. almost 2 weeks post surgery, I was back at work (no pain meds!) I am almost 4 weeks post op, and I have never felt better! I do "feel" like I can begin running again; however, Dr. Hammers doesn't recommend it just yet. I highly recommend him, and if ever there is a need, I will go through him again. He is compassionate, but will not beat around the bush. His bed side manner is wonderful! He listens to… you, and he takes his time explaining to you. He answered all of our concerns before and after surgery, and during the follow ups afterwards. I am grateful for his knowledge and wisdom!
