Dr. Ronald R. Hugate

Dr Hugate did my PAO surgery on 9.26.23.A year later I am still suffering and my bones haven’t healed. Dr Genuario in consult with Dr Hugate havebeen withholding facts from me and suggesting bone graft and bone shaving to basically patch me up instead of being honest with me about how Dr Hugate mall positioned my hip resulting in too big of a gap left for my body to heal. He put my hip in a retroverred position which resulted in immediate retorn of my labrum and continued exacerbated pain worst than before the surgery. Only after seeking a second opinion recently did I found out these info. I would not even be able to successfully receive a hip replacement down the road in the position he placed my hip. Now I have to have a revision PAO to correct Dr hugate’s mistake and reconstruct my labrum. Devastated and completely baffled at the ethical standard and characters of these surgeons. I am a mom of 2 toddlers. So much quality time lost with my family. I definitely misplaced my trust.

Friendly, caring, competent

There are many Orthopedic Surgeons. But not many are ONE OF A KIND. Some can cripple you. Other can achieve amazing results and change your life for far better. Dr. Ron Hugate belongs to the second category. His irrefutable professionalism, and warm attitude gives you the confidence that you are in the finest hands possible. Thank you Dr. Hugate!

Dr. Hugate reviewed my X-ray with me indicating that my recovery is on track. Additionally, he suggested I make an appointment if my night pain persisted.

Prompt through heath care visit. He showed me what he was seeing in my X-ray, and ordered some further tests that will help him determine what is wrong with my hip. Very pleased with my visit and with my new orthopedic surgeon.

Dr Hugate quickly came up with a plan to help alleviate the pain in my hip. I felt very good about his approach to my health.

Dr Hugate put me at ease and inspired confidence in his ability right from the first consultation. He seemed to know what he was doing, and took the time to answer all of my questions. The Sky Ridge hospital treated me well during the surgery. Dr Hugate and his team performed a successful hip replacement surgery on my right leg. Service after the surgery, answering my questions, was prompt. At 6 weeks out, I feel like I will make a full recovery back to an active athletic life. I enjoyed meeting Dr Hugate and Justin, and would recommend them to anyone who needs hip replacement.

Not Trustworthy

We were recommended to Dr, Hugate from fellow physicians. We were going no where in finding an appropriate surgeon for my condition. I was able to be fit in on a busy Monday, and Dr. Hugate schedule me for surgery on a day he normally does not do surgery, so accommodate me. His office staff, the PAs, and the nurses were courteous and respectful of me and my time.

Dr. Hugate's staff was extraordinarily profession. The Medical Assistant Donna made us feel comfortable, and was very knowledgeable. Dr. Hugates PA was professional and sensitive, and Dr. Hugate is one of the best, most personable doctors I have ever visited. From what we have seen, they are the best!
