Dr Hurst was very thorough in his explanation and course of treatment moving forward.

I entrusted Dr. Hurst with my care and underwent two surgical procedures for the same issue. The second surgery became necessary after the first one failed to heal properly. Both times, the surgical site developed scarring and fissures, which frequently became infected and produced discharge. Despite numerous follow-up visits, the treatment plan remained limited to antibiotic, which temporarily managed the symptoms but never resolved the root problem. After nearly a year of recurring issues, I began to lose hope. While I do believe Dr. Hurst did what he could, I feel he should have recognized that this case was outside his expertise and referred me to someone better equipped to handle it. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, and the problem continued to drag on. Eventually, I sought a second and third opinion. It turned out the issue had been misdiagnosed and mistreated from the start. With the correct diagnosis and treatment, the problem was completely resolved in just three weeks. It’s… been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing journey. Not only did I suffer for far longer than necessary, but the repeated procedures also created more damage that had to be corrected later. While Dr. Hurst is a kind and personable doctor, I feel compelled to share my experience in hopes that it might help someone else avoid going through what I did.
