Dr. Ronald Laracuente, MD

I had a very negative experience with this practice, specifically with Dr. Laracuente’s wife, who dismissed me over the phone in a way that felt extremely rude and unprofessional. During the call, I was asking about a $25 bill I was actively paying when I was abruptly cut off. What made it worse is that I had informed her I was dealing with pneumonia at the time, yet there was no understanding or flexibility—I ended up needing emergency care that same day. On top of that, communication overall is very poor. They take a long time to provide results, and if you need a prescription or a call back, it can take far longer than expected. The waiting in general is excessive. In my experience, there is an expectation to follow instructions without asking questions, and communication can quickly turn dismissive if you do. I would strongly advise others to be cautious and make sure expectations are clearly understood upfront.

Wow.... Just know - Your business does not matter to this company as they are not taking any new patients and they have closed the file on their old patients. I am shocked and appalled at the level of disrespect from the MOUTH of a women named Evelyn Guerra (i think she said) who answered the phone. Poor staff is a direct reflection of poor management/ownership. Dr. Ron - You should OWN this and fix it.

Terrible experience I been going to the office for the last 5 years the Doctor is ok the staff and the manager so terrible inhumane unprofessional very sadly this is not the Doctors office that is there when you need help they only like well visits but when you need extra office services like records labs results refferal or any office task they are so difficult rude and very unpleasant to work with.

"In short: On a Monday, when I arrived for blood tests in the midst of a bronchial infection, Dr. Laracuente prescribed a new round of Prednisone, a chest x-ray and antibiotic and agreed to take blood tests that day with a pre-arranged virtual visit for blood test results the following Thursday. When I asked Kenia on the phone to change the telehealth to in-person she said 'NO', without any explanation. When I reminded her I was a sick senior (over 81) asthmatic patient, her immediate response was “Would you like me to close your file?”. In some shock I asked what that meant (I really could not comprehend in the moment that she was threatening to 'fire' me when I was so sick and had merely asked for an appointment to be changed). In an unemotional, matter-of-fact voice she said she said very simply “I think you would be happier somewhere else!” Thereafter, the telehealth appointment was cancelled, my blood test results were emailed to me marked 'inactive' and I was left to figure out… how to get my x-ray results on my own (not easy) to see whether I had pneumonia. All this was without consulting the doctor so have to assume he preauthorized firing a sick patient. Absolutely horrifying and very possibly illegal."

I’ve been seeing Dr. Laracuente for many years now and although I think he is great, his staff is horrible. My prescriptions are never called in on time. Wait times are always over an hour to see the doctor and a few times I’ve have to go to an urgent care for refills last minute because the doctor either went on vacation or the girls at the desk “forgot” to call it in and then days go by. I’ve expressed this issue to the doctor many times and nothing is done. This is the way his wife “runs this office” as she tells me. Very unprofessional.

Excellent doctor,Good personality, Listens to your concerns, assist you with your health, gives you the right medication you need and refers you to a specialist if needed.

While Doctor Laracuente is nice, the waits are long for him and his support staff is rude, unresponsive and does not seem to care about his patients and making sure they have the best care possible.
