Dr. Ronald Alan Weiss, MD

I am a physician myself and was referred to Dr. Weiss by my friend who happens to also be a physician. We had just come off a flight and I was feeling poorly. I broke out in a sweat and felt my heart rate was slightly tachycardic. While en route home, I called my internist's exchange and he called back and didn't seem too concerned about my symptoms, advising me that I was probably suffering from exhaustion. He advised me to go home, good night's sleep, and call him in the morning if I still felt poorly. That's when my buddy called Dr. Weiss's exchange and asked if he would speak with me. I wasn't even his patient and Dr. Weiss agreed to speak with me on a Sunday at midnight, mind you. mind you. I also told him that we had just come off a six-hour flight, and described my symptoms to him and then he asked me two questions; had I had any history of heart issues; and, did I feel short of breath? I responded, "no" and "yes." His next words were: "You need to get into an ER right away. We… happened to be about ten minutes from the hospital where he performed many of his procedures. Long story short, Dr Weiss met us at the hospital, ordered two tests, and 90 minutes later he had removed a v large blood clot that had entered my lung ) that he said, well.....let's just say that if I hadn't had that procedure when I did, I wouldn't be her to tell my story. I'm grateful to Dr. Weiss for saving my life. I had no choice but to fire my primary. I and see Dr. Weiss who is my new doctor, and did I mention, Cardiologist?

Screamed at my 80 year old father at an office visit so much because he didn't have a hospital 100 miles away call him

Excellent, caring doctor who spent time with me and explained things well in terms I could understand. He was current and well versed in my issues, and took time with me.
