Dr. Ronnie S Stangler

Doctor Stangler is excellent. I would not be alive today if not for her care. I can't say enough good things about her. I saw her, on and off, for a period of 10 years. She is a caring patient advocate.

Wow. I stumbled upon these reviews when I was looking for a physician, and started searching for others I had gone to for fun. I agree with all that I read, but felt as a patient (of the old school of the dutiful patient) that I should not criticize my doctors. When she told me she could no longer see me after her husband died, I went to someone else who was quite professional, did respond to my calls and prescription refills, and with who I gained insight and healing. I would not send anyone to her, but see she is no longer practicing here. Good for Seattle.

A poor excuses for a psychiatrist, and she is now using her title to lecture the rich, when she is in fact quite rich herself. A sad, searching soul she is. Perhaps another professional altogether. I have not seen her as a patient, but do know her professionally. She is an embarrassment to the profession.

Like many of the prior reviewers, I was also a physician-patient of Dr.Stangler's. I recently discovered that Dr. Stangler is continuing to practice, and I'm posting this review because I fear she could harm other patients. The prior complaints may seem to be too similar to be credible. However, I also experienced Dr. Stangler's last minute cancellations, unprofessional behavior, misdiagnosis and failure to follow up with prescription refills. She appears to continue to prioritize self-promotion and social media over patient care. Per Dr. Stangler's Twitter profile, she is a physician who "uses early child development to mitigate wealth as risk factor." I would strongly caution against risking treatment by this doctor.

I am surprised that Dr. Stangler was in private practice at all, given her lack of interest in her patients or her profession. True, her husband was sick for many years, but this does not excuse her sloppy practice. I did not go to her, but my husband did, and she often cancelled appointments, she was not available to prescription refills, would be away for weeks at a time. I think as a professional, she should have taken a leave, or is this how she always behaves. From the other reviews I read, perhaps she does indeed. I do not believe New Yorkers would put up with such behavior, as someone else indicated (I am a New Yorker), but should anyone, especially those who are vulnerable and go to her for help wherever they live. What a shame to the profession.

She's a lovely person, but a dangerous doctor. Her failure to return calls from the pharmacy for prescription refills amounts to malpractice. She shouldn't be in practice. I'm in total agreement with the other reviews I've read here.

always late. double booked appointments. cancelled at the last moment. out of town more than in town, which is fine if you don't have a practice, but she does. on facebook! how unprofessional is that for a shrink.when she was actually there, she was very good. but, you gotta be there, take your practice seriously, or take a break, do something else.hard to know if the diagnosis was good if so many breaks inbetween visits.also a doc.

She double-books or forgets your appointment.She's often unpredictably unavailable--for weeks at a time. She frequently can't be reached by the pharmacy for prescription refills--which can be dangerous for those on certain types of meds.
