Dr. Roopa R Bhat, MD

I almost forget I have migraine due to Dr, Bhat’s spot on therapy. I came to Dr. Bhat 5 years ago having 15+ migraines a month. I’d been having migraines for 20 years, working with several competent neurologists over the years, but never got to a nearly no migraine state. Migraine was my constant companion disrupting my relationships as a wife and a mother and engaging in life. Following a thorough examination, Dr. Bhat said I was clearly a candidate for Botox for migraine. I finally felt heard and had someone in my corner to get effective treatment! She’s compassionate and relatable as a human being and her knowledgeable expertise in the field, along with the willingness to go to bat for you with insurance is priceless! Thank you Dr. Bhat for helping me rediscover a life without migraine!

Helped with a medical issue that I've been trying to solve for over 10 years. She was upfront to inform me that some areas don't fall under neurology and suggested alternative options. I see improvement by over 60% which is far better than none. Thankful for her expertise.

Dr. Bhatt is an excellent doctor. When I first started seeing her I had severe headaches almost every day for years. After a 1 1/2 years of treatment with her, I only have a couple a month. She's very informative of all treatment options.

I’ve had many difficulties with being diagnosed over the past few years. It can be trying and disheartening, but I know that it’s part of the process. Dr. Bhat gave me hope. Her reviews were amazing, especially when it comes to showing compassion to her patients. Unfortunately, I received none of that today. I was made to feel like a complete waste of time - absurd for imagining that she could help me. When I began to explain my symptoms, she irritably cut me off, snapping that she “doesn’t know what that is because it’s not neurological!” This was after only a couple symptoms, I might add. I’m not a neurologist. I’m sitting in the chair. I do understand, however, that the brain is complicated. Problems can be naturally far reaching. I don’t know all of the lines between what symptoms are acceptable for a neurological visit, and what they could honestly care less about. I wasn’t giving her a detailed record of every illness I’ve ever had, just ongoing symptoms, examples, and… other information I thought might help. When someone is struggling to find answers, the last thing they need is condescending impatience from a doctor they are coming to for help. Even if help can’t be given because it’s out of their particular realm, that kind of attitude is as unnecessary as it is unhelpful. Dr. Bhat didn’t even spend ten minutes of her time on me and I won’t be spending anymore of mine on her.

Dr. Bhat is an excellent neurologist. She makes you feel comfortable and reassured and really listens to your concerns. She takes the time to answer all of your questions, fully explains available options, and works with you to find an effective treatment plan.

One of the best overall doctors I have had. Very thorough and spends the time to review notes and symptoms. Is concerned about my health and life in general and how it affects my MS. Will take time to review how life has been since last visit and will make a point to hash through issues before determining solution or a prescription. Listens intently and engages with me to determine best course of action, which I think is important for every patient that she sees. I trust her explicably.

Dr. Bhat is a warm, kind, exceptional doctor who takes whatever time is needed to explain what is going on and what the treatment options are or are not. I particularly liked that she was able to show me pictures of what was happening and explain everything in a lay persons vocabulary! She is exceptionally well qualified! I recommend her highly!

Dr Bhat has been instrumental in the care and quality of life of my elderly mother. She listens and cares about her patients. She diagnosed and treated my mother after 3 other doctors dismissed my mom's complaints. Our family highly recommends her.

Dr. Bhat was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and explained my condition in detail and I left her office feeling very satisfied with my visit. She genuinely cares about the well being of her patients which is often missing from most health care practitioners these days. She is also incredibly knowledgeable and has great bedside manner. Easily the best doctor I've seen.
