Dr. Roopa Vemulapalli, MD

Dr Vemulapalli is a thoughtful, talented, and highly skilled physician. I met her in person for the first time today, having two virtual appointments previously, and she is great. Dr. V as she is often referred to, immediately puts you at ease with her calm confidence and clear interest in you as her patient. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for outstanding health care! Thank you Doctor Vemulapalli!

I had been suffering with bloating, pain and other issues for well over a year and was told it was food. My other doctor was not able to help me - so I transferred for a second opinion to Dr. Vemulapalli. She spent aprox. an hour listening to my history and complaints before suggesting some over the counter medications that might give me some relief while I waited on a tests. I became very sick the day after the MRI and called the MRI clinic to determine if my symptoms could be caused by the contrast die (no). The clinic called called Dr. Vemulapalli. She called me almost immediately- she had called the radiologist to read my MRI and was told I most likely had cancer. I had severe pain and diarrhea - the Dr. told me to go immediately to the ER (in Abilene- closest hospital) because I was becoming dehydrated. She gave me her cell number and asked me to call her. Thanks to MY Chart, I was able to show the Emergency Room doctors my MRI results. I had several more tests while I… was in the hospital for a week while they verified what she felt was wrong. I was very impressed with her concern and caring - She ordered an MRI and found that I had a rare cancer and called me to inform me of this and to tell me there were two Doctors in Texas who treated this cancer. She had already referred me to the doctor at UTSW. While I was in the hospital in Abilene, she contacted one of the doctors treating me and discussed my issue. She called his PA and him and gave them her personal cell number and insisted he call ASAP. She called me personally to check on my progress. All this after only ONE face to face meeting - I consider that amazing! God willing, she has saved my life. I highly recommend Dr. Vemulapalli!

Could not be happier with the care and attention I received!

I was extremely pleased with my first appointment with Dr Vemulapalli today. I had to drive from an hour away, so I was hoping I would be pleased. She was patient and allowed me to express my concerns. She explained to me what she thinks should be our next step. I feel that I am on the correct path to improve my health.

I was very pleased with Dr. V - her bedside manner is calm & understanding. She is very easy to talk to and she listens to everything you say. She doesn't just pacify you --- she explains things in detail.

I am someone who needs a colonoscopy every 2 years. I was so lucky to find Dr Vemulapalli. I trust her completely . She is very professional and as long as I live in Dallas, I will never go to anyone else.
