Dr. Rory F Miranda, MD

I just miscarried, and I no way do I blame the doctor himself for this. However, this is my first pregnancy, and I do have a very rare uterine deformity that I made the office aware of prior to my first visit. I was recommended Dr. Miranda by the staff at the front desk of BMH, when I asked which provider I should go with. i was told that i had to see a nurse educator and that i would have bloodwork before seeing her. they never took blood until after. The educator told me i would be seeing dr. miranda, and i never did that day. then the next visit i was in they told me i would have a PAP and i never had one. It's almost like the office has a TERRIBLE time communicating with plan of care. At the time, this was the only place I could bring my insurance. I feel as though I was NOT paid attention to properly, and every time I called the office I had to fight for answers and even a simple referral. He was just going to send me to a maternal fetal specialist anyhow, and by the time I was 8… weeks 3 days, and already miscarried, I had only seen the doctor twice for a matter of 1 or two minutes each time. Again, I do not blame Dr. Miranda for my miscarriage at all, I know these things happen. I feel as though I was neglected and that he didn't care at all to see me as a patient. One of his nurses was very rude, and he was late and BARLEY present at all. When I had lab work done, it was never explained to me what they were looking for, he did an ultrasound the day I had confirmed my miscarriage and simpley looked for ONE minute at my abdomen and told me to have it done elsewhere because he couldn't see anything. I am HIGHLY disappointed in the lack of attentiveness and I'm very upset to have been referred to this PRACTICE as I feel they are under qualified to assist in anything but a pregnancy that is perfectly normal. I would never recommend anyone to this practice. He called me at night to tell me I miscarried and told me he wouldn't be in the next day to advise me of anything. didn't offer another doctors number or name, just told me he would give me the weekend to decide if I want to pass my child on my own or if I want a surgical procedure. obviously I have a lot of questions and I am scared and sad at this point. I'm very upset that I was overlooked and forgotten about, and this is the result, and the office still cannot seem to find a SECOND to comfort me in my time of loss. I pray that everyone who goes to this practice will have a better experience than me, but I would never EVER recommend this doctor or practice.

He was extremely thorough with my high risk pregnancy. He took the time to go through all of my records which were extensive and monitored my pre-existing conditions closely. He is straight forward and honest. If you are looking for someone to tell you that pregnancy is sunshine and roses, he isn't your doctor.

I am so surprised to read the reviews many of them are pretty scary 2 woman claiming their children being born with disabilities because of him. I can see why somebody that had never gone to him before may decide to go with another doctor. I've been seeing him for about 4 years and I have mixed feelings but when it comes to the actual birth of my children I couldn't imagine having another doctor. He moves very fast appointments go very quick but he is a very busy man. I do believe he pays more attention to your pregnancy than you may feel he does. I wish he would have been in the room more when I was having complications with my first child and resulted in a csection. I just had my second child and second csection by Dr Miranda and this is the reason I do not see myself going to another doctor in the future. He is very good with surgery. Never had a problem and have 2 healthy children because of him. BUT do not expect a personal connection with him like you may see with many doctors.… I would love to have gotten a picture of my children's doctor holding them after birth because he did bring them into this world but he is so in and out that you will not get that mutual feeling from him. Despite the many bad things I have heard about him as long as I'm not having a natural birth I will always go to him!

Dr. Miranda took the time to help my husband and I understand why we were having trouble conceiving. Once we did conceive, Dr. Miranda called me personally to congratulate me. He also monitored my pregnancy very closely and took the time and measures needed to ensure the health of me and my baby. I appreciated that Dr. Miranda himself delivered my baby. I had a safe and healthy pregnancy as a result and will continue to see Dr. Miranda for future appointments and possible pregnancies.

Horrible communication and bedside manner. Was the on call delivering doctor and was horrible. Wouldn't look me in the eye or talk to me like and adult. Mumbled during delivery and was rude in general. Would never see again!!!!

Dr. Miranda was one of the best doctors I have ever had. He always listened to every concern I had with my pregnancy and delivary, and always made me feel at ease about the experience. I loved how he made me feel empowered to make decicions for myself with his support. Other doctors I've had make the decision for you and just expect you to go along with it. I would recommend him to anyone that wants to have an amazing doctor who cares about his patients!!!

Worked with him years ago at another facility. Smart, non egotistical, caring, listens and takes a patient's opinion into consideration while still keeping his objectivity and providing appropriate care. Fantastic physician. Highly recommend him.

I would recommend Dr. Miranda to anyone; especially if they have endometriosis. I was having severe pelvic pain for months and nobody could figure out why. (kept thinking it was my appendix...for 6 months!!) Finally, I decided to see an OB/GYN after a referral from an ER doc (also GREAT!) I had a complete hysterectomy 10 years prior. Little did I know the adhesions could and would come back, and to the extent they had! In less than a month from the 'final' ER visit to my appts with Dr Miranda, I had surgery and had adhesions and scar tissue removed from different areas of my pelvic area, including the mess attached to my stomach wall and colon! I'm still having some pain, but nothing like before! I owe Dr Miranda...I have my life again! Thank you!!Besides all that, my wait time was usually less than 10 mins, if that, and am able to get in the same week. His nursing staff is fantastic also, if I call with a question or problem, they usually have a return phone call with the solution… in less than two hours! Dr and nurses always ask if I have any more questions, and just a great follow thru. I wish all my doctors were this great!!

Find a doctor who does not have to lie about his past. He has to lie or he would have no patients.

If he knew what he was doing and cared our child could ride a bike and go to school and thrive. She will NEVER do these things! She has brain damage BECAUSE OF RORY MIRANDA!!!!!!!FIND A DECENT DOCTOR!!!!
