Dr. Rosalie Greenberg, MD

I am beyond grateful for the years of exemplary care and knowledge of children that Dr. Greenberg has provided my daughter, as well as, the entire family. I went into the office seeking help and ended up with a lifetime of understanding of my child. There was never any pressure to medicate and when it was time, I always felt very supported by Dr. Greenberg. She was very thorough and was super accessible for any crisis situation. Overall, our experience has been outstanding. She came highly recommended to my family and I understand why!

I gauruntee you remember me.Forcing a traumatized 8-year-old on a heavy mood stabilizing drug (Lithium) and an anti-psychotic drug (Abilify) at the request of a cluster-B personality disordered parent is a crime against humanity. You enabled my mother to torture me with psychiatric chemicals for 8 years and no point did you investigate why a mother would be so enthusiastic about finding a psychiatrist to drug her son (she doctor shopped and ignored professional diagnosis multiple times until she found you, who knows what she was transparent with you about). The amount of pain and suffering I have endured at the hands of a child abuser and people like you who enabled the abuse has haunted me and my health for almost 2 decades. Just want you to be aware.

My child received treatment from this doctor. She misdiagnosed her illness. I should have listened to other doctors that correctly diagnosed her condition. I am very sorry my family went to this doctor.

Having experienced many child psychiatrists since my child was diagnosed, I will say that Dr. Greenberg is very knowledgeable and has a kind demeanor with the children she treats. The negative is, if you're not very wealthy, don't waste your time. On my first visit she told me "I'm very good, but I am not cheap, think about if you can continue here." Some might say that is forthcoming, but I also think it is rather harsh. Since I wanted my child to get the best treatment, I continued. But truly, we were told to come in weekly, which is excessive and costly. In time, I could not keep up with the cost and went elsewhere. The doctor had absolutely no concern or worry about my child not being able to see her anymore. Really, you had the feel it was all about the money. The only other thing I'd say is she is an expert on pediatric bi-polar disorder. There are many who feel it does not exist as a disorder at all. While I do believe it is, I also feel just about every patient that… sees Dr. Greenberg winds up with this diagnosis based on conversations with other parents. That is a bit of a cause for concern in itself.

Her staff is great. She cares and I can always get a hold of her when I need her. She thinks out of the box which I like. She's expensive because insurance doesn't really cover her but I think she's worth it.

After several visits, for which we paid an exorbitant amount of money Dr. Greenberg asked me to tell her about my son. Although she had a large folder on her lap filled with previous reports, surveys, parent intake information, she obviously read none of it. She new absolutely nothing about my child. She sent him for medical tests that were also costly and had no medical basis for prescribing. She strings patients along collecting their money and doing absolutely no work. Very disappointed and a complete waste of time and money!

Before seeing Dr. Greenberg our son was diagnosed with high functioning autism, which indeed he has; however he had so many behaviors for which no one could offer a plausible explanation. Dr. Greenberg recognized that he was bipolar as well as autistic. With the proper medication adjustments, our son has made major improvements. He sees a behavioral therapist in addition to Dr. Greenberg and there have been setbacks and major medication changes over the years, but such is the nature of having a child with a co-morbid diagnosis. We are fortunate to a have a doctor who is nurturing with him yet challenges him to reach his fullest potential, which recently included being part of a band of neurotypical teens being selected to play in a club in NYC. When we first went to see Dr. Greenberg, such an event never seemed possible.

Took my child in for diagnosis and was informed that I should just wait and see how things progress. I was not wanting that as an outcome from a highly profiled doc in the field who does not accept insurance and charges $500 a visit and does not write reports for future reference I provided her a wealth of information and believe she should do better then that.Not at all pleased.
