Dr. Rosalind Jackson

This is the first review of a provider I’ve ever written but I have to share my experience. I started going to Dr. Jackson when I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks (first pregnancy ever). My first appointment went well, Dr. Jackson was very professional and friendly. She mentioned at my first appointment that later in my pregnancy I’d be able to have genetic testing done, but that my insurance did not cover it. Fast forward to my 10 week appointment, she walks into the room and says, “let’s get some bloodwork from you.” She leads me down the hall to the room where blood is drawn. The phlebotomist hands me a pamphlet and says, “Dr. Jackson wanted me to give this to you.” It was about genetic testing, which I was not interested in, nor did I ever indicate I was interested. I stuff it in my purse, get in the chair to get my blood drawn because I’m already feeling terrible and just want to get it over with. Get my blood drawn, make my next appointment with the receptionist, and… go on my way. Later that day I was thinking to myself, I should’ve asked what bloodwork was being drawn. I call the office and of course they close early on Friday’s. So I leave a message on the nurse line asking for someone to call me Monday regarding my bloodwork I just had done. Monday comes, no call. I call again Tuesday and leave another message. No call back. Thursday, I call and speak to the receptionist, explain what I’m trying to find out. He puts me on hold, and comes back on the line saying he checked with the staff and I did not have the genetic testing drawn because I never indicated I wanted it. Great! So I put the idea to rest. Friday evening (the next day) I get an email that my bloodwork results were available in MyChart. So I log in, expecting to see routine labs. There it is, the first result. Genetic testing results as well as gender result. I burst into tears. Now what should’ve been a magical moment of finding out the gender of our baby for my husband and I at our 20 week ultrasound was an angry, upset moment. Of course, the office was closed for the weekend so I couldn’t call anyone about it. The following Monday I receive a call from the LabCorp representative from Dr. Jackson’s office to “address any concerns I had about my genetic testing bloodwork.” I told her I never consented to this ELECTIVE bloodwork, nor was I informed it was being drawn. 2 months later after switching providers and going through all of this to figure out how to get my $1100 bill covered, Dr. Jackson’s office has not once called me to apologize or see why I’m no longer receiving prenatal care at her office. I am so disappointed in Dr. Jackson. I would not recommend her to anyone after this big of an event with no follow up.

When pregnant with my first child, I was recommended to Dr Jackson by a family member. At first she seemed very nice and like she took care of each patient like they were an individual. I ended up seeing the Nurse Practitioner more than the Dr, even when I had to start coming in twice a week for non stress tests for the last almost 3 months. I think out of the whole time, I saw Jackson maybe 5 times. I had preeclampsia, but was never told that (I just knew. My blood pressure was up and I was always swollen). I was scheduled to be induced two days before my due date because she was going on vacation and it was either that or wait two weeks and I drove an hour each way to work (so I didn't want to go into labor so far away). I was told to get to the hospital at 1 in the morning, they didn't start the IV until 2 in the afternoon. I wasn't dilating, so we went in for a C section and my baby was delivered Thanksgiving Day. Fast forward two weeks, I went to the restroom and my girdle thing… they gave me stuck to my incision. Within 10 minutes, my clothes were soaked with infection. My fiancé took me to the ER, inside the hospital she works at. When the ER called her, it took her hours to come over and before she even saw me told them she was going to cut me open and send me home. They told me I was septic and would be admitted even if she wasn't the one to do it. She finally came in, stuck a hemostat in and packed the wound. It took her about another hour to admit me and I sat upstairs for 13 hours without any antibiotics because she didn't write me any. Then she ordered my discharge without any medicines or wound care. We ended up calling in internal medicine, I was there for 5 days and got 22 bags of antibiotics, was sent home with 3 oral antibiotics and had to pack the wound everyday with antibiotic strips. She really just doesn't care and I will never ever recommend her to anyone. I just found out I am pregnant again and will be looking elsewhere

Very friendly staff and Dr jackson was very friendly and thorough. I felt very comfortable. I was able to get an appointment quickly. Woukd highly recommend

Dr. Jackson listens to your needs. She is friendly and professional. I would highly recommend her if you are new to the area or just need a new OBGYN.

Dr. Roz is the most caring dr, I have ever been to and have recommended her to many people!. I drive 70 miles round trip just to see her and it is well worth it!

Dr. Rosalind Jackson is polished, poised and definitely a 10 as it pertains to handling the needs of my OBGYN matters. I've shown all my friends her beautiful work and have referred them to her. Her bedside manner was a 10. My out of town family was truly impressed with her kindness and professionalism. Too bad she doesn't have an office in GA; otherwise, I would have all my female relatives as her patients. I love her and thank Jehovah God she did my surgery which gave me much relief!! Special thanks to Marsha Bonhardt's segment with the Dr. on WDTN. I saw the interview with Dr. Jackson and knew right away that she would be my new OBGYN.

Says she will handle you even if you are high risk and then as soon as there is a problem she bails. Also, guarantees she will deliver your baby but you never know who actually will.

I was having a miscarriage and they staff was rude and said "we'll have a nurse call you back in 48 hours." The whole office is just rude rude rude. Very unprofessional. Wouldn't answer my questions. It was really hard to get a prescription refill. If you're thinking of having babies, don't go to her!!!

At my first visit with Dr. Jackson she made me feel like she really cared. Than after she did a laperoscopy she found nothing wrong. She was suppose to give me a RX for birth control pills. Well I never got a follow up call from her, I called her office and left three messages and not one of my calls was returned. She left me in the dark, no birth control pills I had to stop just like that. I feel since she found nothing wrong she was angry and thought i was lying about my pain. I since found out that the lower abdomen and groin pain is from my hip. In the mean time still no calls no RX nothing. I feel very frustrated, let down, angry and hurt! I believed she was concerned when obviously she wasn't once she found out nothing as far as female stuff was wrong with me. I would seriously consider wether or not if she is the doctor for you.
