My Aortic heart valve surgery was a day that changed my life forever. I underwent an aortic heart valve replacement with Dr. Rosario Floridia and his exceptional team including Dr. Matt at Temecula Valley Hospital. Going into open-heart surgery is, without a doubt, one of the scariest and most overwhelming experiences a person can face. There were moments when it felt almost traumatic, but from the very beginning, I knew I was in the hands of people who truly cared. Dr. Floridia took the time to sit down with my husband and me, one-on-one, and explain everything with compassion, patience, and understanding. He made us feel heard, informed, and confident moving forward. I received an On-X 21 aortic heart valve, and thankfully, the surgery was a tremendous success. From the surgical team to the nurses and everyone who cared for me throughout my hospital stay, I truly could not have asked for better care. I had absolutely no complaints. In fact, it was the best care I have ever received… in a hospital environment. Looking back now, I am filled with gratitude—not only for the successful surgery, but for the incredible people who helped me through one of the most frightening chapters of my life. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Floridia and his amazing team at Temecula Valley Hospital for giving me a new lease on life. God was with me every step of the way, and I am so thankful for the gift of healing, for my medical team, and for everyone who prayed for and supported me along the journey.
