Dr. Rosita Sadhana Shivdat-Nanhoe, MD

Totally recommend!!!

My sister is living with Parkinson's Disease. She is also mentally challenged. In 2011 PD symptoms presented with tremors and we went to a male neurologist in Macon who was brief, seemed uninterested in helping my sister due to her mental challenges. We left his office being told she did not have PD, just essential tremors and nothing could be done. In early 2012 Parkinson's set in heavy and hard. Our PCP referred us to Dr. Shivdat since we refused to go back to the previous neurologist. Dr. Shivdat took her time and did a thorough exam and was direct and honest. More tests to confirm her diagnosis were done and a plan of action was discussed. I love that Dr. Shivdat speaks directly to the patient rather than to others who might be with her. She asks questions of my sister but will accept input from me or her caregiver. We have been seeing Dr. Shivdat for 7 years now and my sister LOVES her. She is genuinely interested in helping and improving the patient's quality of life… and working hard to slow the progression of the disease. She is extremely cautious in tweaking any medicine changes and will proceed slowly, keeping a close watch on the patient's condition. She stays current on new medications and studies. My sister is doing exceptionally well under Dr. Shivdat's care. I would travel as far as necessary to keep Dr. Shivdat as my sister's neurologist! I cannot imagine any one else being as careful and caring. I cannot praise Dr. Shivdat enough; she is exceptional!!

I highly recommend this doctor she is very careful with you and effective she also honestly celebrates with you when you feel better...very kind hearted.

I became Dr. Shivdat's Patient about 5 years ago, even tho she has gone thru plenty of office staff, its about the Dr. that counts and she gives her full attention to her Patients, at least with me she does. She has always taken the time out for me. Most Doctors come in and they are out within 5 min and they don't care about what I have to say. But Dr. Shivdat..... She cares and always hears my concerns. She hugs and she is always pleasant. It doesn't bother me that she has gone thru staff, cause they are not the one who is treating me. She is........ and to me knowing that my problem is what she cares about most is what makes me stay. If you want a Dr. that will be there for you and listen to you and care about your issue. She is the one! I would recommend her to everyone.

Dr Shivdat is a good Dr. However dealing with her Office Manager/secretary is always an unpleasant setting. I had to change neurologists just because ...

Sadly I agree with all of the reviews. Dr Shivdat is a great doctor. I have been her patient for over a year and I think SHE is outstanding as a physician, but her office staff is awful. In the last year the turn over has been terrible and last week I received a letter telling me that the payments I made on 2 separate occasions were not withdrawn from my debit card. NOW they want me to come into the office to pay them, WILL NOT allow me to pay by check. So they want me to take time off from work to do this. For an error that WAS THEIR fault. And this not the only error they have made, they did not schedule a test at the hospital for me and also tried to charge me a fee for a "missed" appointment I never had. Its a shame because she is a excellent doctor. It makes me want to find another doctor to be honest. I think she needs to find a good office manager or she will lose patients.

The Staff is terrible...worse experience ever in a doctor's office.

Dr. Shivdat-Nanhoe's caring attitude during initial appointment with her (I was referred by my orthopaedic surgeon) was above and beyond. Because of her concern, she asked that I have some testing done to determine if my carotid artery might be blocked; it was, almost 90%. I was subsequently scheduled for surgery, and my blocked artery was fixed. Had it not been for her I could have very well had a stroke, not a good thought. I owe her, if not my life, then at least my current (good) health because she was concerned about my welfare. I cannot say enough good things about her; she is truly the uncommon doctor.
