Most recently, he practiced pain medicine at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg, NY.Dr. Dickstein earned his bachelor’s degree from Duke University in North Carolina and Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.. After its completion, he transitioned to a pain management fellowship (also completed at Johns Hopkins) because he enjoyed the personal interactions and helping people understand and manage their pain.Aiming to empower his patients with education and motivation for healthy lifestyle options to help manage pain long term, Dr. Dickstein notes medication management is only one part of a balanced approach that also includes diet, exercise and minimally invasive interventional approaches.Away from the office, Dr. Dickstein enjoys hiking with his wife Heidi who is also a physician and their two Weimaraner dogs.
