Dr. Ross Fredrick Grumet, MD

Dr Grumet I was with for a very long time. At the time I moved he handled record transfers and anything required to help. He is a kind caring man ,whom invests his self in his patients welfare. The Dr where I was relocated to also agreed with his diagnosis and treatment,.So nothing has or was changed. Great Dr in my opinion.

He saved my life!! I had a severe breakdown with depression and anxiety that was a continuing downward a spiral under another doctor who misdiagnosed and treated me. I learned depression can can down to levels beyond what I could ever even begin to fathom. The only thing that kept me from taking my life was my son, who has Higher Functioning Autism. We have a closeness and bond that few parents are blessed to have with their child. I knew if I wasn't there anymore, it would likely have catastrophic effects for him and his future. After 4 months of only getting worse, y wife and mother researched, found, and took me to Dr. Grumet. He was so kind and caring. He spent so much time asking me so many questions. (most I had never been asked before), explored areas of my life that had never been explored, and did not stop until he had a good overall picture of what I was facing. He was confident that he knew my diagnosis was Bipolar 2. Based on that, he put together a treatment plan with the… correct medications along with therapy. Finally, I began to turn around and get on the road to recovery. I will always have struggles that must be monitored and addressed, but they are mild and my life then compared to today is like night and day. I know I am in excellent hands and would (and do) strongly recommend him to anyone who needs a psychiatrist!

ADDERALL PILL MILL

I worked for this doctor briefly, and I understand the practice. Dr. Grumet is extraordinarily smart, empathetic, and genuinely invests his time and feelings into his patient's welfare and health.

I haven't seen Dr. Grumet in about 12 years but believe in his way of treatment, Allowing the patient to speak freely until some dark place tucked away in your memory emerges. Dr. Grumet does not just pass out medicines. He is probably retired now but, I would like him to refer a psychiatrist for a young friend.

This practice is based on a methodology of getting as many people scheduled in one day as possible... He wants profits, period. When I complained about waiting 2 hours for my appointment I was told I had to step into the hallway. At this point I was in a very bad state as my medication has to be taken every 4 hours or I have bad mood swings. In the hallway I was verbally attacked by the receptionist. As a survivor of multiple abusive situations and suffering from PTSD with episodes of flashbacks, I freaked out and had an episode where I sat and cried and begged then to let me make another appointment. I was then forced to leave. Tbe worst part is they threatened to call the police on me even though they know my diagnosis involves extreme fear of authorities. I was not in any way being violent or angry but I was crying very hard. The doctor was furious because I embarrassed him. He told me to never come back. He was upset because I potentially caused him some business. He showed ZERO… concern. This all started because I complained about sitting for 2 hours. Noone should wait that long. And the worst part? They kept my $100 copay and are refusing to answer any of my calls. The one call they did answer were I asked what do I need to do to get my money back, he replied, whatever you need to do and hung up the phone. I understand I am not perfect but I was in no way violent and I was not making any threats until the very verbally abusive receptionist took me outside where noone could hear him to berate me and tell me horrible things. That and the medication change and low blood sugar caused me to get grouchy. But had I not gotten verbally attacked to the point of a panic attack in the hallway I would not be upset. Dr Grumet did not even want to hear about it. He just wanted me away. He should not have a license to practice medicine.

This doctor is supposedly an addiction specialist yet a 26 year old addicted to Adderall can see him once, convince him that she needs Adderall and he prescribes it with no further therapy or testing. Quack!!! Doc, you should reevaluate all of your new patients for whom you have prescribed Adderall or is that you main source of income??

Dr. Grumet is wonderful, I have been seeing him for about four years now. His current office staff is fabulous!!! They go out of their way to listen and solve any kind of issues or questions I may have or come across. They treat you like you DO MATTER because you do.They promptly do all the above. They work with you for you, and understand that you and your needs are important. I am relieved that I know that every visit is going to be smooth. If you have heard anything negatively about this office or anything related you should ignore it. Everyone has their own views on things. I have seen office staff come and go. He has picked a wonderful staff and I am very thankful for everything they do for me and my health.

Definitely should RETIRE and close practice! It's time ....

I had been to several doctors for over 2 agonizing years without success. Every doctor I saw misdiagnosed my problem. The first time Dr. Grumet met with me, he spent the time he needed to truly understand and correctly diagnose my problem. He was completely correct and within just 2 months under his care, my life had dramatically changed for the better. Now, I am living a "normal" life again! Yes, you may have to wait sometimes for a little while, but it is because he spends the time that is needed for each of his patients. Other doctors often seem to rush through the process and appear to have a very set method for every visit. However, Dr. Grumet seems to genuinely care about you and interacts with you to determine the best course of treatment to follow. It takes me an over hour to drive to his office, but I will never consider going to another doctor no matter how far I have to travel. I highly recommend him for anyone who is dealing with mental or emotional issues or has a loved… one who is. I know my review may seem a little "over the top", but this man made life worth living again for me!
